MESSI SHOOTS OVER! That would have been another Messi classic for the highlight reel. He dribbled past three into the area, but he could only send his shot high of the far corner.

Garay has taken a knock in keeping Messi's shot out just moments ago. The Valencia centre back is receiving treatment and so the away team have sent subs to go warm up.

HOW DIDN'T THAT GO IN?! Suarez was unseflish at the byline, instead squaring a pass for Messi. But somehow Valencia kept the shot out. Rafinha couldn't bundle it in either.

As you would expect, Barcelona have taken control of possession early on, with Valencia having to sit deep and defend. They are doing a decent job of plugging the gaps, though. For now.

Neymar has been in exceptional form for Barcelona of late, but that's twice that the Brazilian has failed to beat his made on the left side. Valencia have kept him under control so far.

There were actually reports in January that Barcelona made a move for Cancelo. They also reportedly made a move for Mallo from Celta Vigo, but were rebuffed on both counts.

What is interesting about this Valencia team is that Cancelo looks to be playing as something of a forward. He normally plays as a full back, but he's much higher up the pitch today.
9'
SUAREZ SHOT SAVED! The Barcelona striker wriggled in behind the Valencia backline, but from a tight angle he had his shot saved by Alves. That was archetypal Suarez.

CANCELO SHOULD HAVE MADE THE PASS! The Valencia right back turned forward sprung forward on the counter attack, but he failed to spot Orellana in the middle and the challenge was made.

Munir is back at Camp Nou this evening and he is leading the line for the away side. Of course, the young forward is on loan at Valencia from Barcelona until the end of the season.
5'
This is a must win match for Barcelona. Real Madrid stretched their lead at the top of the table to five points with a win at San Mames yesterday. Barca can't let that gap get any bigger.
4'
CLEARED BY GAYA! Barcelona get in behind the Valencia backline within minutes of kick off, but Suarez's cut back from the byline is cleared, rather desperately, by Gaya.

This is one of Spanish football's biggest matches, but of course Valencia aren't exactly much of a force at the moment. Barcelona are strong favourites to claim all three points here.
