Espanyol are the ones who need the equaliser but it's in fact Atletico Madrid who are pressing hard in search of a second goal! Torres has made a difference in their attacking ranks.

OFF THE ESPANYOL WOODWORK! Carrasco does so well to get to the byline and drives into the box. He squares for Koke, but the midfielder's low shot clips off the far post.

TORRES COMES CLOSE! The Atletico Madrid striker wins the ball in the corner, drives inside and cuts on to his right foot. But his curling effort flashes just over the far post. That was a very good attempt.

This has become a really fragmented game. There has been a lack of quality from both teams in this second half, and the referee certainly hasn't helped with his love for the whistle.
