FULL TIME: Celta Vigo 0-1 Barceloa
This has been a mighty slog of a match for Barcelona. Celta Vigo will rue their missed opportunities in the first half, but the away side's resolve must also be admired. Great stuff.
Three minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the second half.
Messi has just missed a sitter! The Barcelona number is played clean through on goal by Rakitic, but in his attempt to chip the keeper he lifts the ball on to the roof of the net. Should have scored.
RED CARD! Fabian Orellana (Celta Vigo). The referee has shown a straight red card! Busquets looks to have been hit by a lump of turf, which seems to have come from Orellana. Bizarre.
Barcelona sub: Luis Suarez OFF, Ivan Rakitic ON.
The home side are struggling to break out on the counter attack, with Barcelona dominating play in the Celta Vigo half for perhaps the first time in this game.
Enrique comes off his line to roar some encouragement at his players. He seemed to be telling them to dig deep, with something of a crazed look on his face. Pressure, and all that I suppose.
Celta Vigo sub: Pablo Hernandez OFF, Santiago Mina ON.
They have been stubborn in the second half, but I wouldn't say Celta Vigo have been as potent as they were before the break. They have lost their attacking intent since the restart.
Celta Vigo's defensive game has been impressive, as has their pressing approach in midfield, but they now need to come out and have a go at Barcelona if they are to claim a result.
This result will put Barcelona four points ahead of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga, and given the result earlier today this could be a real landmark moment for the Catalans in the title race.
This game was never going to be decided by a moment of magic or a lovely passing move. It was going to be a gutsy goal for a gutsy game, and that's what Barca got with Mathieu's breakthrough.
The ball sits up nicely for Neymar about 25 yards out, but his half-volleyed shot flies well wide of the target. The Brazilian has been terrible tonight. Why hasn't Enrique taken him off?
That goal could be huge in the context of the Liga title race. Barcelona have foun themselves in a game here, but Mathieu was so committed in his efforts to get his head on that delivery.
Barcelona sub: Andres Iniesta OFF, Pedro Rodriguez ON.
GOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Celta Vigo 0 Barcelona 1 (74 mins - Jeremy Mathieu). The breakthrough has been made! Mathieu throws himself at a freekick at the back post to head in off the underside of the bar.
