Hansi Flick reveals managing Barcelona has 'completely changed him' after red card against Girona that rules him out of El Clasico

Hansi Flick has revealed managing Barcelona has "completely changed him" after he was shown a red card in the dramatic 2-1 La Liga win over Girona on Saturday. Flick was shown red shortly before Ronald Araujo scored a 93rd-minute winner after the German argued with the referee as his side were heading towards a draw. Previously calm in the dugout, Flick said his love for the club has changed him.

Hansi Flick has revealed that coaching Barcelona has "completely changed him" after he was sent off in a dramatic 2-1 win over Girona on Saturday.
Barca kept within touching distance of La Liga leaders Real Madrid thanks to a stoppage-time winning goal from Ronald Araujo.
Flick had to celebrate the winning goal from the stands, having been sent off earlier in stoppage time for arguing with the referee.
His sending off means he is unable to manage from the dugout in El Clasico this weekend, though the club are appealing that decision.
Flick was previously famous for his composed presence in the dugouts, notably while at Bayern Munich when he guided the Germans to UEFA Champions League success.
But at Barca, there has been a notable change in his demeanour and it is something the 60-year-old attributes to the club itself and in particular, his love for it.
"I'm not more nervous, maybe my emotions are not the same as before," he said.
"I remember when I was coaching Bayern Munich, there were images of us winning 8-2 against Barca, and I never smiled with the eight goals.
"Now I have more emotions, this club has completely changed me. What I can say is that I love this club, I love Barcelona, I love the people here, it's incredible, and I give my all for this club.
"To be honest, I don't like these things when I see myself on TV, and I don't like my grandchildren seeing their grandfather like that, so maybe I have to change my behaviour."
The Spanish champions excelled under the stewardship of Flick last season, dominating domestically as they won both La Liga and the Copa del Rey.
The one trophy that alluded them was the Champions League, losing in dramatic circumstances to runners-up Inter in the semi-finals.
This season they will be hoping they can go one step further and make their first final since they were crowned champions in 2015.

To do so, they will need to return to winning ways, having lost 2-1 to reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain after a 90th minute winner from Goncalo Ramos last time out.
They face Greek side Olympiacos in the early match on Tuesday, which can be seen live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
Flick is faced with a bare squad as the recent international break caused an injury crisis for the Catalan club, with Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Ferran Torres and Dani Olmo all currently on the physio table.
With both Lewandowski and Torres out, it seems Flick will resort to starting Marcus Rashford centrally, alongside Fermin Lopez and Lamine Yamal.
Rashford has been something of a revelation for Barcelona this season, scoring three goals and five assists in 11 matches, including a brilliantly taken brace in the 2-1 win over Newcastle.
"Marcus can be a No. 9 or a No. 11. When we think of him, we value the fact that he can play in more than one position," Flick said.
"He has given us a lot of positives and, of course, he can play as a centre forward."
