England midfielder Jude Bellingham is facing a two-game ban in La Liga after being sent off for dissent at the end of Real Madrid's 2-2 draw against Valencia. Bellingham, who had scored shortly after the final whistle was blown, has said he is hoping to see a "bit of common sense used from La Liga" and has also said he feels like the league are trying to make an "example" of him.

‘Investigations, bans & appeals to my eyeballs’ – Bellingham calls on La Liga to show ‘common sense'

Jude Bellingham has called on La Liga to show “common sense” over his impending two-game ban, which he called a “bit ridiculous”.
The referee's report said Bellingham displayed an "aggressive attitude" towards official Jesus Gil Manzano after scoring a goal seconds after the full-time whistle had been blown.
“I have got investigations, bans and appeals up to my eyeballs so I don’t really know what to say,” Bellingham told TNT Sports after Real Madrid booked their place in the Champions League quarter-finals with a 2-1 aggregate win over RB Leipzig.
“I would like to think the club can appeal it and get it shortened, but if not I accept the responsibility of my actions and have to support the team from the fans.
“But I like to think there would be a bit of common sense used from La Liga.”
He later added to other media that he thought La Liga were trying to make an “example” of him.
"I didn't say anything offensive, I didn't say anything different to what my team-mates said and I think that sometimes because I'm new they want to make an example of me," he said.
"In the end I have to be responsible for my actions and I'm not proud, but I think two matches for that is a bit ridiculous, but if it's two matches I have to take my responsibility and I'll cheer from the stands."
Real scraped into the quarters of the Champions League after a 1-1 draw against Leipzig in the second leg of their last-16 clash.
Leipzig had most of the better chances during the game but couldn’t convert as Real advanced.

“Not the best performance,” said Bellingham.
“Not at our best tonight as a team, individually, but it’s one of those games where you can’t always win playing beautiful football, sometimes you have to grind them out, defend well at times, make important blocks, and go up the other end and use the chances you have, and we did that with Vini [Vinicius Junior]. Pleased to be through but not satisfied.
“It’s not like we played a poor team, we played a brilliant Leipzig team that came to play and put it on us from the first minute.
"This idea that we didn’t have a great game is true but they are also a very good game, pleased to get through to the next round.”
