ARGENTINA ARE THE WINNERS OF THE FINALISSIMA!
The South Americans have completely played Italy off the park tonight at Wembley and 3-0 is a fair reflection of the game.
Lautaro Martinez, Angel Di Maria and Paulo Dybala registered the goals, but the star of the show was Lionel Messi, who looked back to his brilliant best for his country. That is a very frightening prospect for the rest of the world ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
GOAL! ITALY 0-3 ARGENTINA (PAULO DYBALA)
Argentina deserved a third for their second-half performance and now they've got it!
Messi is at the centre of it - because of course he is - racing forward before releasing it to Dybala and he slots it into the far corner to put the icing on the cake with virtually the last kick of the game.

CLOSE TO A THIRD!
Di Maria accelerates down the left and his pass comes through to Lo Celso after Martinez slips. He's searching for the top corner with his curler but Bastoni makes an important headed clearance.
YELLOW CARD

NOT THIS TIME, MESSI
Messi wins the argument to take the free-kick - of course he does - but he curls it high and wide.
YELLOW CARD
It feels like Argentina are showboating as they keep the ball for what feels like forever, much to the satisfaction of their supporters. Italy's frustration finally gets the better of them as Di Lorenzo takes out Martinez and goes into the book.
Yellow card
G. Di Lorenzo
AND ANOTHER MESSI SHOT!
This time he tries his luck from distance, 25 yards out, forcing Martinez into a smart save down as he palms it away.
ANOTHER EFFORT
Desperate to get his name on the scoresheet, Messi has another attempt but again there's no way past Donnaurmma.
GENIUS FROM MESSI!
Typical, brilliant Messi as he embarks on a lung-busting solo run, he just keeps going and going. Quite right, he selfishly tries to go it alone but can't beat Donnarumma from a tight angle.
THAT SHOULD BE THAT!
Italy are being completely overrun in midfield now, and here come Argentina once more. Messi gets in behind Spinazolla and squares it for Lo Celso but he inexplicably hits the wrong side of the net!
