What will the Manchester United squad look like next season? The UEFA Europa League final defeat to Tottenham scotched what could have been a joyous end to the campaign for The Red Devils, and instead, Carrington will be a sombre place over the summer as Ruben Amorim eyes a rebuild under likely financial constraints. We run the rule over what has been said, and who is likely to depart.

What next for Manchester United?
After their boom or bust UEFA Europa League final ended in defeat to Spurs in Bilbao, difficult decisions lie ahead for Sir Jim Ratcliffe and embattled manager Ruben Amorim.
Can United hope to keep their best players when already toeing the financial line? Will homegrown players be candidates to depart? Whose future is in doubt?
TNT Sports expert Paul Scholes has said he thinks Amorim will need "three or four windows" to rebuild his playing personnel, after a season which has seen speculation swirl around many of the club's squad.
Ahead of the impending summer transfer window, let's start by looking at those players whose contracts are expiring in 2025 and 2026.
Christian Eriksen
Eriksen, 33, looks set to leave Old Trafford this summer.
The midfielder joined United in 2022 but has not been a regular starter under Amorim and is out of contract at the end of the season.
Speaking about his future recently, he told TV 2 Sport: "I haven’t thought much about it. In my head, I’m prepared to find something new. What that will be is not something I’ve decided yet.
"I haven’t heard anything, and when I don’t, I assume that the collaboration stops. That’s how I interpret it. Everyone knows that the contract expires, so I figure there’s only one way [it is going]."

Victor Lindelof
Victor Lindelof has made nearly 300 Man Utd appearances since signing in 2017.
However, his contract is expiring this summer and it is reported that there have not been talks over an extension.
The 30-year-old, who has struggled for starting minutes this season, is reportedly a transfer target for his former club Benfica.
Jonny Evans
Jonny Evans is out of contract this summer and it looks as though he will leave Man Utd for a second time.
Evans, 37, returned to United in 2023 as a free agent after his previous spell at the club ended in 2015.
He has not played since December 19 due to injury.
Tom Heaton
Like Evans, veteran goalkeeper Tom Heaton is also in his second spell at United.
He has not made an appearance for the club this season and is out of contract in the summer.
Harry Maguire
Man Utd triggered a one-year extension to Harry Maguire’s contract in January, meaning it now runs until June 2026.
The defender came close to leaving United in 2023 after he was stripped of the captaincy by Erik ten Hag.
However, he has become a regular starter in Amorim’s set-up and was described by the United manager earlier this year as "a leader again".
"He believes in himself a lot and he's doing a great job," added Amorim.

Casemiro
Casemiro’s future at Man Utd looked in question early in the season after he was taken off at half-time of the 3-0 loss to Liverpool, having been at fault for two goals.
The arrival of Amorim did not seem to improve Casemiro’s prospects as the United boss said in January that his lack of minutes was "just a selection choice" as his team "needs players with high intensity".
However, the 32-year-old, who is out of contract next summer, turned a corner in the closing months of the season.
"Casemiro, people saying he was finished - I don't think he's finished."
"It would be incredibly difficult to try and pick a Man Utd player of the season - but from Casemiro's point of view, he's finishing the season really strongly. The last couple of months he's been superb."
Those were the views of TNT panelists Robbie Savage and Don Hutchison respectively, after the Brazilian helped fire United into the Europa League final, with a goal in the semi-final and two assists in the momentous quarter-final triumph over Lyon.
He is one of many players the club will need to decide upon in the coming weeks, with the midfield in particular in need of an overhaul.
Who else could leave Man Utd this summer?
Headline news after the Europa League final was Bruno Fernandes' quotes on his future.
"I’ve always said I will be here until the club says to me that it’s time to go. I’m eager to do more, to be able to bring the club to great days," he said.
"In the day that the club thinks that I’m too much or it’s time to part ways, football is like this, you never know it. But I’ve always said it and I keep my word in the same way.
"If the club thinks it’s time to part ways because they want to do some cash in or whatever, it’s what it is, and football sometimes is like this."

Ferdinand: Amorim needs more time even after disastrous season
Video credit: TNT Sports
The Portuguese has been the club's leading light this term, and Amorim has often stated his desire to keep his compatriot, but this is the first time Fernandes seemed to question his own future at Old Trafford.
Wednesday night's loss means there will be no UEFA Champions League revenue for Man Utd, a hammer blow given the club has already admitted to being close to breaching PSR (Profit and Sustainability Rules), and that could impact their ability to keep their top earners, like Fernandes.
Another player who appeared to question his own place at the club after the final was Alejandro Garnacho, who was left out of the starting XI for the final in lieu of Mason Mount.
"Up until the final I played every round helping the team, and today I play 20 minutes, I don't know," said Garnacho afterwards.
"The final will influence [my decision] but the whole season, the situation of the club. I'm going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens afterwards."
Garnacho - together with Kobbie Mainoo - would count as homegrown for PSR accounting purposes, which allows clubs to bank those sales as 'pure profit'.
Mainoo has appeared sparingly for United this term, and his own place at Old Trafford looks uncertain, with Amorim unable to give firm assurances about his status.
"I really love my players," said Amorim earlier this year. "I want to keep them, especially the talented ones.
"It is a hard moment and I am really happy with Kobbie. He is improving."
