The latest Euro Transfer News from across the continent as Barcelona come to terms with a lengthy injury layoff for midfielder Gavi, with Manchester United star Kobbie Mainoo being eyed. Mainoo could fill Gavi void
Barcelona have been rocked by the news that Gavi will be sidelined for up to five months after having surgery on a knee injury.
In a desperate attempt to fill the void left by the Spain international, they could turn to out-of-favour Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, according to Fichajes.
"Among the options that Barcelona is considering, the name of Kobbie Mainoo is gaining prominence," they wrote.
"Gavi's situation has opened the door for the club to think about a young player with room for growth to face the immediate future.
"The club's idea is to request a loan with a purchase option from United. The club understands that Gavi's recovery will take time and cannot risk facing the season with a weakened midfield."

PSG keeping track of Bruno
According to transfer expert Ekrem Konur, Paris Saint-Germain remain interested in Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.
They were one of 10 clubs linked to him earlier this year and have been long-term suitors of the Portuguese midfielder.
Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal had a high-profile approach rejected in the summer. Fernandes said he turned down the mega-money deal because he wanted to "stay at the highest level".
Real Madrid consider Garcia loan move
Gonzalo Garcia was one of the stars of the FIFA Club World Cup as he scored four goals in six matches for Real Madrid.
However, the 21-year-old academy product played just 90 minutes across their first four matches of the season, so could be loaned out.
Fichajes reports: "The option of a loan move in the winter market is being considered.
