All of a sudden Celtic look bereft of confidence. They started well, but now they have a mountain to climb if they are to get anything from this match, with RB Leipzig two goals to the good.

Yet more slack defending from Celtic, who make a mess of the clearance after a cross into the box, with Bruma on hand to squeeze the finish past Gordon. His shot looked to take a deflection off Ntcham.

Kampl on the run! That was great play from the youngster, who got to the byline and sent a wonderful cross into the box, but Cunha wasn't alert to it and the chance is gone.

That's such a soft goal for Celtic to concede. They had looked pretty solid up until that moment, they had created a couple of opportunities, but RB Leipzig now have the lead.

It's dreadful defending from Celtic, with Boyata completely missing the ball as he attempted a clearance. Cunha was behind him to control and fire home the finish past the helpless Gordon! The Germans have the lead.

For all that Celtic have probably been the better of the two teams so far, they have yet to truly test Mvogo in the RB Leipzig goal. They need to get more efforts on the opposition frame.

Of course, Rangick is only an interim head coach for RB Leipzig. He is the sporting director who has stepped in before the arrival of Nagelsmann from Hoffenheim next summer.

That was an opportunity! Cunha should have done much better with that. Augustin brought down the ball, with Cunha running on to it, but he smashes his effort well over the bar.

The hosts have just started to take a grip of things again in the last few minutes. Rangnick won't be pleased with the way his team has played in these opening 25 minutes.

Of course, it should be noted that RB Leipzig are also missing a few of their key figures. It looks like they are struggling in the final third without the likes of Forsberg and Werner to call upon.

The aim for Celtic was always to stay in European football beyond Christmas. This will be a tough group for the Scottish champions, but a result here would stand them in good stead.

It's not just Brown that Celtic are missing through injury, but Forrest as well. But the Scottish champions are doing a decent enough job on the wings. Morgan, in particular, playing well.

It's jus the final ball that Celtic are lacking at the moment. They are finding a lot of space in the final third to break into. McGregor and Morgan are having good games so far.

Ntcham drives forward! All of a sudden, space opens up for Celtic through the middle as Ntcham drives forward. He plays it into McGregor, but the attacking midfielder is tackled.

Rodgers will surely take encouragement from the way his team has played in this first half so far. RB Leipzig have fallen out of the game since the opening five minutes or so.

Edouard was looking to create space for the shot just inside the opposition penalty area, but the Frenchman was eventually crowded out by RB Leipzig. In the end, he commits the foul.

Celtic have done a decent job of keeping hold of the ball in the centre of the pitch, which is quite an achievement when you consider that they are without the injured Brown tonight.
