McGinn is so central to the way this Scotland team plays. He's the one who drives them through the centre of the pitch. His goalscoring record at international level is also very good.
34'
McGinn gets the shot away! Christie prods the pass through to McGinn with the Serbian defence all over the place, but the Aston Villa's shot is saved by Rajkovic. Not enough on the effort.
33'
The referee is having a word with Dykes for a foul committed on the edge of the Serbian box. Lahoz is known for being card-happy, but the Spanish official has only handed out one yellow so far.

Clarke can be pretty pleased with what he has seen from his team so far. This is the sort of match Scotland would have been hoping for. They are keeping it tight and well-organised.
30'
Gallagher wins the header! Serbia play the cross to the front post for Mitrovic to attack, but Gallagher did well to get there first and make sure the Fulham man doesn't win the ball.
29'
It's been a bit more even in the last 10 minutes or so. Serbia have settled into the game and are seeing more of the ball. Both teams looking a bit edgy in the final third of the pitch.

Gallagher has his hands full with Mitrovic this evening. He is Scotland's best header of the ball and so it's up to him to make sure the Fulham striker doesn't have too much freedom in the air.
26'
That was a warning sign for Scotland. Yes, they have started this match well, but Serbia have the quality to make the most of their opportunities. That was the best chance so far.

Inches wide! That's the closest we have come to an opening goal! Mitrovic holds up a ball into the box and sets up Lukic outside the box, but the midfielder's shot flashes just past Marshall's left-hand post!

Good play from Dykes. He was surrounded by Serbian players, three of them, but he had the presence of mind to drive it down the line and then play for the throw-in to move Scotland forward.
22'
Milinkovic-Savic to the byline! The pass was played in behind the Scotland defence, but Gallagher had it covered and the Motherwell defender does well to shephard it out of play.
21'
The risk for Scotland is that they become a bit too reliant on Dykes to win balls in the air and get a bit lazy in their build up play. A few too many passes into the QPR targetman.

Already feels a bit like this...

A bit better from Serbia, with Tadic driving the ball up the pitch. But Scotland survive and they will take great confidence from that. They are certainly the more settled of the two sides.
18'
Good recovery from Robertson. The Scotland captain looked to be slightly out of position when the pass was played down the channel for Lazovic, but he made the clearance.

It must be said, this has been a really decent start from Scotland. They have comfortably been the better team. Serbia have barely had a touch of the ball. They have barely been out of their own half.
