35'
A sniff of a chance for Ireland, as Robinson whips a cross in from the right touchline. It bounces through the Georgian six yard box and just too far ahead of McClean, who was unmarked.
31'
Qazaishvili goes on a couple of twisting, turning runs on the left of the Irish area. Both times he's smothered, and is forced to turn back and lay the ball off. Good defending from the Republic.
30'
A bit of a lull in the game. The Republic look comfortable holding the hosts at arms length for the moment.
27'
Doherty gets up a gallop, advancing deep into the Georgian penalty area and reaching the line. He just slightly overruns it though and the ball drifts out before he can pull it back for a colleague.
25'
A loose ball breaks to the Republic after a foul in the middle of the field. The play is allowed to continue, but McClean can't slide it through to Collins. That ball looked on, and was half a chance for the Irish to get clean through there.
23'
Georgia are very neat and tidy in possession, and have settled the better of the two sides so far.
20'
Kiteishvili glides through the centre of the Irish midfield to lead a break for Georgia. He comes unstuck when he reaches the edge of the area, dallying on the ball for too long before the Republic win the ball back and clear.
19'
Hendrick whips a nice cross to the back post, but it's just to high for McClean and trundles out of the area away from danger.
17'
Okraishvili gets in behind Doherty now, who's struggling a little against the Georgians down the left. The cross-cum-shot balloons behind Randolph's goal.
15'
Robinson tries to progress down the right for the Irish but is dispossessed easily, as the Georgians play triangles around him in the bottom corner to smoothly work their way upfield.
13'
Ananidze tries to clip a ball into the area, which the Republic head away. Okraishvili hits the deck under a challenge from Doherty, but the referee is not having any of it.
11'
Another chance for Georgia. A hopeful long clearance finds Kvilitaia onside, and running through to the area. He's held up, but lays it off to Ananidze, who drags his shot wide from the edge of the area.
10'
Georgia work another nice move down the left to get Okraishvili free in the area, but his cut-back is intercepted and the Republic clear their lines again.
7'
The crowd are up suddenly, as Ananidze and Kankava work a good move to the right side. Kakabadze gets forward to hook a cross into the area with his left foot, but the Republic clear.
6'
It's a testing pitch for the players; the surface looks dry and uneven in places, so skidding the ball around it with intent is proving difficult so far.
4'
OFF THE POST! The Republic win a free-kick out on the left. Hourihane whips it into the area and Egan rises to get a glancing header on the ball. It flashes at goal, hits the inside of the post and bounces out. So close!
1'
An early look for Georgia, as Qazaishvili plays a quick one-two to get into the area, but he slashes his shot horribly out for a throw-in.

The anthems done, and kick-off will be upon us shortly.

It's almost time to go, as captains Jaba Kankava and Seamus Coleman lead out the teams. The referee today will be Marco Guida of Italy.

It’s a sunny yet breezy early evening in Tbilisi, the conditions look perfect. There is a danger that goals might be at a premium today; These teams have only scored ten between them in ten games, with six of those going past Gibraltar in three games. The ace up Mick McCarthy’s sleeve to break any deadlock will be the teenage forward Aaron Connolly, who heaped more misery on Tottenham last weekend with two goals for Brighton in their 3-0 victory.
