Hello and welcome to Eurosport's live commentary on tonight's Euro 2016 qualifying clash between Italy and Norway. This is Liam Twomey (@liam_twomey) taking you through all the action from Stadio Olimpico.

It's full-time at Stadio Olimpico and despite giving Italy a real scare on their own turf, Norway have been defeated and will have to negotiate a play-off to reach Euro 2016.

CHANCE: Italy look the more dangerous team whenever they counter and when Giovinco feeds Candreva again, the Lazio man cuts in on his right foot and curls a shot just wide.

Three minutes of added time will be played in Rome.

Buffon rises calmly to claim a looping cross and while Norway keep playing the game in their opponents' half, there is no real confidence in their attacks.

Norway are continuing to attack with numbers but Italy stand up well to the threat of two successive corners and time is running out for the visitors.

GOAL! Italy 2-1 Norway. The Azzurri have taken full advantage of Norway's attacking desperation and finally have their reward. Florenzi curls a ball to the back post and Pelle sends a shot on the half-volley looping over Nyland.

GOAL DISALLOWED: Giovinco slips the ball through a tired-looking Norway defence for Candreva, who squares the ball for Florenzi to tap in only for the assistant referee to rule that the Lazio winger was offside when the pass was played.

Final change for Norway as Berget comes off and Valon Berisha is introduced.

CHANCE: A Darmian cross from the right ricochets through to Giovinco, whose first-time shot forces another impressive save from Nyland.

There is a noticeably more intense vibe about Norway's attacking play now and so there should be. If they fail to find a winner their Euro 2016 destiny will be decided in a play-off...

GOAL! Italy 1-1 Norway. A horrible misunderstanding between Nyland and Aleesami, who tries to chest a Giovinco cross back to his goalkeeper but instead allows Florenzi to sneak in and poke in the equaliser.

Massimiliano Allegri rolls the dice for the final time, sacrificing Barzagli to bring on Antonio Candreva.

Boos rain down from all sides of Stadio Olimpico as the Italian pressure is broken up to allow Johansen to receive treatment. The Celtic midfielder went down under a Chiellini challenge but quickly gets back to his feet when play is stopped.

Italy make their second change, with Andrea Bertolacci replacing Montolivo.

Florenzi's deflected cross floats over to the far post and Soriano nods it back to the penalty spot, but his header finds no Italy team-mates in position to take advantage.

Norway counter and King plays the ball into the feet of Henriksen with his back to goal on the edge of the area. The AZ man lays the ball off to Johansen who swiftly falls to the floor with Chiellini in close attendance, but once again referee Felix Brych is having none of it.

And that is Eder's last contribution to the game as Sebastian Giovinco comes on.

CHANCE: A raking 50-yard pass from Bonucci finds the head of Soriano running behind the Norway defence and the Sampdoria midfielder nods the ball into the path of team-mate Eder, who can't poke the ball past Nyland before the two men collide.

Second change for Norway as Soderlund trudges off and former Manchester United youngster Joshua King comes on.

Aleesami causes rare panic in the Italy defence with a brilliant 50-yard run with the ball before finding Berget, but the Malmo striker loses control and the attack fizzles out with a hopeful long-range strike by Johansen.
