It wasn't intentional, but that mis-hit shot by Ronaldo fell perfectly for Nani to poke past a wrong-footed Hennessey. That's a goal and an assist in a matter of seconds for Cristiano.

GOOOAAALLL!!! Nani makes it 2-0, beating the offside trap and poking home a sliced shot from distance by Ronaldo.

Wales look to hit back immediately, but Bale's clipped free-kick is punched away.
51'
That was a truly breathtaking piece of athleticism from Ronaldo. Towering above the defenders before generating huge amounts of power with his header, it looked as if he was a different species to the players around him. Sensational.

GOOOAAALLL!!! It's a thumping header from Ronaldo, who generates incredible power from the corner to leave the keeper with no chance. 1-0 Portugal.

King does well to head a dangerous free-kick cross behind for a corner.

Joe Allen makes a sloppy foul in midfield. He's already been booked, remember, and the Liverpool man is going to have to be very, very careful.
47'
Chester shows impressive upper body strength to ease Sanches off the ball when the midfielder looked the favourite to emerge from a challenge with the ball.
2nd Half

The half-time whistle goes to bring the half to an end without a second of added time.

Ronaldo gets his first big chance, leaping like a salmon at the back stick and heading marginally over the bar. That was astonishing athleticism by Ronaldo to hang in the air and make contact with that cross, let alone get power on his effort.

A floated corner causes panic in the Wales box as Hennessey hesitates, but his defenders bail him out by keeping Ronaldo shackled.
40'
Is it too early to say it? This feels a bit like penalties.
39'
To say this is "evenly-balanced" is an understatement. There's absolutely nothing to separate the two teams.
38'
Portugal have made a bit of a habit of playing like this - they've only been ahead for 20 minutes in the whole of the tournament and are yet to win a game in normal time.
36'
The Wales fans are in fine voice, no doubt encouraged with how comfortable their team are looking against Ronaldo and co.

If you want to remember what Euro 2016 was like in a few years' time, dig out the recording of this first half. It's been tactically interesting but painfully short of clear-cut chances.
