Marcelino will want his side to do more in the attacking sense in this second half. Valencia did well from a defensive standpoint in the first half, but they have to do more on the counter.

INTO THE SIDE NETTING! That's the first real sight of goal Messi has had in this game. He created the space for himself, but the angle was tight. He could only find the side netting.

Early suggestions are that Pereira was withdrawn by Valencia after sustaining an injury in that tackle from Roberto just before the break. He could have been sent off for it.

The second half is under way! It's still goalless between Barcelona and Valencia.

What did you make of the first half at the Camp Nou? Does Valverde need to make changes to his midfield? Might Coutinho come on? Should Valencia be satisfied? Tweet me!

HALF TIME: Barcelona 0-0 Valencia. Not the greatest half of football. Both sides have been poor. Valverde will expect more of his players in the second half in this Copa semi final first leg.

Why wasn't Roberto shown a secon yellow card there? The Barcelona midfielder fouled Pereira, but the referee keeps his cards in his pocket. That was a pretty lazy tackle from Roberto. Gets worse with every replay.

Perhaps it's just as likely that Valencia will make changes at the break. The away side need to find more threat and potency when hitting out on the counter attack at speed.

Equally, it hasn't really been a very strong performance from Barcelona either up until now. Valverde will demand more of his team in the second half. They're in first gear right now.

From a defensive standpoint, Valencia have done well in this first half. They have plugged the gaps and sat deep effectively. But they have hardly seen any of the ball.

WASTED CHANCE! Barcelona had the opportunity to either test Jaume or swing a ball into the box. In the end, Messi does neither and Pique can't get on the end of the delivery/strike.

Pereira now enters the book for a tackle on Messi. That was his third foul.

I wonder if Valverde might make changes at the break if things remain the same at that point. Barcelona just look rather lethargic in the final third. They're struggling for space.

There's a booking for Roberto. That was a bad one by the Barcelona midfielder.
