RUIZ DOUBLE SENDS PSG THROUGH TO FINAL
A first half brace from Fabian Ruiz gave Paris Saint-Germain an unassailable first half lead on their way to a 4-0 victory against Real Madrid.
The European champions were far too sharp for their opponents and Los Blancos goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was forced into two fine saves in the opening minutes.
However, the Belgian goalkeeper was helpless when Ousmane Dembele capitalised on a defensive error and found Ruiz for his sixth minute opener.
Dembele was then alert to Antonio Rudiger’s miss-timed pass to double the Parisians’ lead with just nine minutes played.
The game was all but over on 24 minutes when Ruiz finished a scintillating PSG move which left their opponents chasing shadows.
Xabi Alonso changed his side in the second half in an attempt to find a way back into the game and Real did have more possession.
However, they failed to really trouble Gianluigi Donnarumma’s goal with substitute Eder Militao going closest with a header five minutes from time.
PSG had the final say as they hit their opponents on the break and Goncalo Ramos steered home a fourth goal with three minutes remaining.
Chelsea await PSG in Sunday’s FIFA Club World Cup final at 20:00 GMT.

ENRIQUE: WE ARE IN ‘SPECIAL SEASON’
Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique says his side want to make "club history" by adding the FIFA Club World Cup to their impressive trophy collection in the last 12 months.
"It’s always difficult to play those kinds of matches against Real Madrid," Enrique said.
"We started the game very good and we’re happy with the performance. It’s too much heat for me. You have to play in different conditions to watch a better show.
"I think both teams did it great, we are in a special moment, in a special season and I think we deserved to win.
"One more step against a good team, against Chelsea. We want to make club history."

RUIZ REFLECTS ON SEMI-FINAL WIN
Fabian Ruiz has reflected on progressing into the FIFA Club World Cup final with a 4-0 win against Real Madrid.
He told DAZN: "It was a brilliant performance considering the heat, the temperature and against a really top team in Real Madrid. We are so happy that we’ve gone through.
"I’m happy for the goals, but mostly I’m happy about the win. Now we need to celebrate, we’re through to the final."
On facing Chelsea, he added: "It will be difficult. We know they’re a good team and doing well, but hopefully we can win it and finish the season in the best way possible."

PSG MARCH INTO FINAL
The European champions sent a huge message to final opponents Chelsea with that result.
Two goals inside the opening nine minutes rocked Real Madrid, who looked tired from a delayed flight on Tuesday.
Ruiz’s second goal and PSG’s third ultimately settled the match with just 24 minutes played. Enzo Maresca’s side will have to produce something special to stop the same happening on Sunday.
