The 2025/26 Premier League fixtures are out - and they waste no time delivering. Aston Villa face Newcastle United live on TNT Sports and discovery+ on the opening weekend, while Manchester United kick off with a showdown against Arsenal. Liverpool start their title defence at home to Bournemouth, while newly-promoted trio Leeds United, Burnley and Sunderland have learnt their first opponents.

Aston Villa and Newcastle United will launch the new Premier League season on TNT Sports, while Manchester United host Arsenal on a blockbuster opening weekend.
The first round of fixtures for the 2025/26 season threw up a host of headline contests, with Villa and Newcastle - two of last season's key animators in the battle for Europe - colliding at Villa Park on Saturday, August 16, live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
United face a daunting opener against last year’s runners-up Arsenal, aiming to bounce back from a bruising 15th-place finish in Ruben Amorim’s first campaign.
Champions Liverpool get the season underway against Bournemouth under the Anfield lights on Friday, August 15.
Elsewhere, Thomas Frank's reign as Tottenham Hotspur boss begins with a home test against newly-promoted Burnley, while Championship winners Leeds United host Everton at Elland Road in their Premier League return.
Sunderland, back in the top flight for the first time since 2016/17, kick off against West Ham United at the Stadium of Light.
Manchester City and Chelsea - currently on FIFA Club World Cup duty - start away to Wolverhampton Wanderers and home to Crystal Palace respectively.
