If Napoli are to have any joy going forward they'll need to make use of Dortmund's weak link down the left, with Grosskreutz filling in for the injured Piszczek.

Dortmund have started the better of the two sides here. They look comfortable on the ball, making Napoli do the early running. Not that we'd expect anything else from Klopp's team.

A freekick from deep is whipped into the box, but the ball doesn't reach Bender at the back post and the danger passes for Napoli. Needed a better delivery.

Dortmund have won all seven competitive games since losing the Champions League final to Bayern Munich last May. They looked motivated and very intimidating.

The atmosphere in the San Paolo stadium sounds electric! In fact, it's so lively a cloud of smoke, from the abudance of flairs lit in the crowd, has engulfed the pitch.

Napoli played with a three at the back last season but the influence of Benitez has seen them switch to a back four in Europe. I'd suggest that's a good move against a team like Dortmund.

Napoli v Borussia Dortmund is under way! This should be a special game.

The teams are out on the San Paolo pitch. It's almost time for that famous song. No, not the song from the Gazprom advert...
19:40
Both sides have a 100% record in their respective leagues, but this is a step up in quality. The 'hipster derby' it has been billed as. This game could see any scoreline. Should be a cracker.
19:35
Napoli is always a difficult place for teams to visit, although by adopting a more 'European' style Benitez might have lost that quality. The San Paolo will still be an element in the contest but will it decide the game?
19:30
Of the four teams that reached the semi-finals last season Dortmund are the only side to have kept their manager. They have continuity on their side. Can they make it tell in the Champions League this term?
19:25
Dortmund surprised many by marching all the way to the final last season, and many are suggested Napoli could do the same this season. Depite losing Edinson Cavani they have re-invested the money well and look a real threat this year. Tonight will be a serious test for them though.
19:20
Benitez: Napoli must play as they always play. We are not thinking about playing 11 men behind the ball. We want to attack and win. The difference between Europe and Italy is the speed of the game. Borussia are amongst the strongest teams in Europe, but it is just the beginning of our journey."
19:15
Klopp: "I think this is going to be the most exiting group, and we're part of it. I don't think there is a favourite in this group at all. All four sides could go through and all four could not even make the Europa League, that's the way it is. But we are in good shape and we are here to get something."
19:10
There is a compelling narrative to this game. Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp told the media during the week that he could've been sitting in the opposition dug-out, as Napoli approached the German ahead of Rafa Benitez. Klopp playing mind games through the press?
19:05
Pre-match odds: Napoli 19/10, Draw 12/5, Borussia Dortmund 11/8.
19:00
As far as Dortmund's team news is concerned the biggest surprise is that with Lukas Piszczek out Kevin Grosskreutz comes in at right back.
18:55
TEAM NEWS: Napoli - Reina; Maggio, Albiol, Britos, Zuniga; Inler, Behrami; Callejon, Hamsik, Insigne; Higuain. /// Dortmund - Weidenfeller; Grosskreutz, Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer; Bender, Sahin; Kuba, Mkhitaryan, Reus; Lewandowski.
