Apologies for the intermittent updates late in the second half (technical issues), but hopefully we brought you all the information that really mattered. Spirited fightback by Dortmund late in the game, but Napoli probably deserved their win. Higuain, Insigne and Inler were particularly impressive.

FULL TIME: Napoli 2-1 Borussia Dortmund

Napoli sub: Marek Hamsik OFF, Giandomenico Mesto ON.

The resulting corner is floated into the box and Reina completes the job by claiming well in a crowded penalty area. Was that Dortmund's last chance?

Reina has to be at full stretch to deny Reus from the freekick! That's the first good freekick Reus has struck all night actually! Dortmund have a corner kick. Still time to find an equaliser.

Dortmund earn a freekick on the edge of the box, as Britos fells Lewandowski right in front of the referee. Stupid foul to concede, really.

GOAL! Napoli 2-1 Borussia Dortmund (87 mins - Christian Zuniga). The comeback is on for the Germans as Zuniga manages to find his own net after good work by Reus.

Sahin comes close to finding the target with time running out for Dortmund, but his effort is allowed to pass over the angle of post and crossbar by Napoli keeper Reina.

Dortmund have stepped up the pace in the past few minutes or so, presumably looking for the goal that would drag them back in the game.

Lewandowski and Sahin link up in and around the penalty area, but the eventual shot from the Polish international is weak and easy for Reina to save.

Mertens surges up the left side of the field, catching Dortmund on the counter attack, and spots Callejon lurking at the back post. However, his pass is too strong for the Spaniard. That could've been a third.

The substitute Hoffman finds the ball at his feet on the edge of the box, but his shot is straight at the keeper. Dortmund still look relatively threatening on the break, considering their handicap.

The new hero of Naples gets a standing ovation as he comes off for Pandev. Can anyone remember that Cavani chap?

Napoli sub: Gonzalo Higuain OFF, Goran Pandev ON.

Dries Mertens tries his luck from a tight angle and almost catches the sub keeper Langerak unaware. The Dortmund keeper actually did well to get across his goal and beat the ball away there.

Dortumd sub: Henrikh Mkhitaryan OFF, Jonas Hofmann ON.

Higuain breaks forward and works the ball on to his right foot, but his shot is deflected wide by Grosskreutz.

Can I add Insigne to the list of Napoli players who have been mightily impressive tonight? That was an exceptional strike.
