LAST TIME OUT
Bayern suffered a shock loss to Villarreal in the first leg of the quarter-final of the Champions League. And, in truth, the Bavarians are fortunate it wasn't more than 1-0.
WHAT'S AT STAKE?
Bayern start the day six points ahead of second-placed Dortmund, who cruised to victory at Stuttgart last night. Should the Bavarians beat Augsburg they would move nine points clear with just seven games remaining.
Augsburg recorded victory over Mainz in midweek as they moved six ahead of the relegation zone. They're still far from safe, however.
NAGELSMANN HAS HIS SAY
"Of course we were all disappointed. We made a lot of mistakes on Wednesday.
"On Saturday, there is a Bundesliga game and points we want to get. We'll try a lot of things tomorrow that will also be important on Tuesday."
NIEDERLECHNER STARTS FOR VISITORS
Florian Niederlechner starts up front for the visitors in the absence of Alfred Finnbogason with Andre Hahn, who scored in the reverse fixture, playing in support.
AUGSBURG'S TEAM
LEON GORETZKA STARTS
Despite being forced off with an eye injury in the defeat to Villarreal, Bayern midfielder Goretzka starts. But Alphonso Davies, having made his first appearance since December in midweek, is only amongst the substitutes. As expected, Robert Lewandowski leads the attack.
BAYERN'S TEAM
WELCOME
Hello and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE text commentary of the Bundesliga clash between Bayern Munich and Augsburg.
Having avoided punishment for fielding 12 players very briefly in the 4-1 win at SC Freiburg last week, Bayern are hoping to open up what would be a huge nine-point lead at the summit.
Standing in their way are Augsburg and after losing to Villarreal in their Champions League quarter-final first leg in midweek, Julian Nagelsmann's side will look to take all their frustrations out on their Bavarian rivals.
Let's grab the team news ahead of this 14:30 BST kick-off!
