Bayern Munich vs Augsburg as it happened - Robert Lewandowski's late penalty spares champions' blushes

Lewandowski's run is fed by Goretzka's pass but Gummy snaps into the tackle quickly, dispossessing the formidable Bayern forward.

Augsburg create an opening thanks to a nice, fluid attacking move. The final ball looks to set Vargas free on the left but Pavard times his challenge perfectly to put an end to their threat.

However, Pavard appears to have hurt himself in the process of making the challenge and needs to leave the pitch for treatment.

Vargas spreads the ball to Caligiuri, who finds himself in space on the right side of the penalty area. He misses the chance to take a first-time shot, instead opting to cut back onto his left foot, which allows Richards to make the block.
