Lovely break from Schalke as Guilavogui is caught dwelling on the ball. Sane breaks and tries to lay it in to Choupo Moting but Rodriguez covered the run and is able to clear.

CHANCE! Great effort from Geis. Huntelaar gets lucky to deflect the ball to the midfielder on the edge of the area. It bounces up nicely for a dipping volley but it just flies wide.

Judging by what we've seen tonight, probably not wrong...

Sane turns away from Trasch really well but he can't find any space. The ball drops to Geis who tries to shoot from distance but what a waste of the ball that is. Well over.

Huntelaar not given a single moment on the ball and Rodriguez is there to nip the ball away from him. Superb pressing this half, it's been a highlight.

Wolfsburg now looking content to get into half time at 1-0 up. Schalke look like they need to rethink their tactics.

Choupo Moting tries to combine with Riether down that right but the ball back to him is too strong and the forward can't get it under control. Throw to Wolfsburg.

Schalke just trying to take the sting out of Wolsfburg's game a little here. The hosts are happy to sit in at the moment and Schalke are struggling to break them down.

Counter from Wolsfburg led by Guilavogui. His ball right to Trasch is good. Kruse advances with it and plays it back wide but the cross is met by the first man and it all slows down again.

Great play from Wolsfburg again to get Trasch in on the right. He crosses low but Matip just gets a toe in. Guilavogui seems to get to the ball first but the ref blows his whistle for a foul. He was just about to pull the trigger as well there.

Unlucky that! Veirinha with a big back heel around Geis and Trasch is storming on the overlap. He crosses towards Dost but it just goes over his head and Fahrmann is out to catch.

Dost tries to exchange a neat one-two with Veirinha on the edge of the area but Neustadter is there to block and try and set Schalke on the counter.

Handball from Guilavogui on the left and so Aogo goes over to whip it in. Not the best of balls in and Casteels is able to gather.

Ball infrom Geis on the half way line but Casteels is out to punch it clear.

CHANCE! Sane drifts inside and plays it wide to Choupo-Moting. He plays the ball low into Huntelaar but he scoops his first time effort and it goes over the crossbar.

Good play from Wolfsburg to counter but Dost ignores Caliguiri's burst ahead of him down the left and the sting is taken out of the attack.
