Bayern lose patience

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has warned that Bayern are running out of patience with Köln over talks to acquire Germany striker Lukas Podolski. Podolski - who scored 12 goals this season - requested a move to Bayern after Cologne were relegated to the second division.

"There's a limit to our patience," Rummenigge said. "If we can't find a solution, then we won't waste time. We'll look for another striker. Thank God there's plenty of them in the market."
Podolski is considered to be one of Germany's top young talents and could leave Köln at the end of the 2007 season for a fixed fee of 1 million euros, although his club are believed to be pushing for closer to ten million for an immediate move.
