Manchester City and England star Chloe Kelly has joined Women's Super League rivals Arsenal on loan on transfer deadline day.
The Gunners have won the race to sign the winger, who was also being pursued by Manchester United and Brighton after publicly declaring she wanted to leave City before the transfer window closed.
The 27-year-old - who scored the winning goal in England's remarkable Euro 2022 victory - returns to the club where she started her career.
Arsenal's head coach Renee Slegers said: "Chloe is an exciting attacking player and will be a great addition to our squad as we approach the second half of the season.
"She’s direct and explosive, with huge natural talent and ability. We’re all looking forward to working with Chloe as an Arsenal player in the coming months."
Kelly had started just one league game for City this term, and with the European Championship taking place this summer, she is desperate to be a part of Sarina Wiegman's side as they look to defend their title in Switzerland.
Scoring 30 goals in 109 appearances for The Citizens after swapping London for Manchester, she helped the club win the FA Cup in 2019/20 and the League Cup in 2021/22.
Her contract is due to expire in June.
"We’re thrilled to welcome Chloe back to Arsenal," said Clare Wheatley, Arsenal's director of women’s football.
"As an academy graduate, we’ve been proud to see the career she’s gone on to enjoy, both at club and international level.
"We’re delighted she’ll be representing Arsenal again as we aim to compete for honours this season."
Arsenal are currently fourth in the WSL, one point and a place behind Man City.
