That red will have gone down well in N4, where Arsenal will be getting ready to welcome Thomas Partey back. They might even play some football!

VAR, though. There to eliminate the howler.

Djiku fouls Ibroihim, but there's no further punishment.

Comoros bring Ahamada on for Ben Boina.

It wasn't even a 50/50 - Dede got there first, easily, and his follow-through was not only unavoidable but a necessary part of a contact sport.

ANDRE AYEW, THE GHANA CAPTAIN IS SENT OFF! THAT IS AN ABSOLUTELY LUDICROUS DECISION! WHAT A STATE GHANA ARE IN!

Oh dear. Ben Boina is in trouble, and it looks like he'll have to go off. At first glance, it looked a fair challenge - the ball was loose - and looking at a still now, studs are up but Dede actually got the first touch and caught the keeper in the follow-through. The ref is checking var, but there's nothing to see here.

Ghana have created nothing, but here's Sulemana again, swiping a shot from outside the box that dips in front of Ben Boina, who fumbles ... then does well to collect the second ball as Dede ploughs into him.
19'
Dede, who spent the Gabon match in a filthy temper, isolates M'Dahoma down the left of the box, sways inside then nips outside, but no longer has the legs to catch up with the ball.

Jordan turns nicely, moving to Sulemana on the left, and he steps inside then drags low - with a bit of power, but not enough - and Ben Boina saves easily.

Yiadom hirls into the box and the second ball falls to Dede Ayew, hereafter Dede, who smashes fresh air into the bottom corner.

Selemani yanks back Sulemana, hangs on, then hangs on some more, and is booked.

And here's one of the aforementioned, Mogni in the corner and somehow digging out a fine cross, but there's no one at the back post to profit from it.

The pattern has been set: Ghana huffing and puffing, Comoros blocking and fouling, then springing on the counter. Not a bad tactic, really - Ghana look extremely disorganised at the back.
11'
Partey drives miserably, it takes a deflection, and Ghana win a throw.
9'
Partey drives forward and Bachiru hauls him down; free-kick Ghana, 35 yards out, pretty central.

Ghana win a corner that goes deep to the far post and Djiku wins the header. His effort isn't on target, but men are lurking to turn it in, so Ben Boina leaps to shove away. That's an important touch.
7'
Relatively speaking, Ghana had actually started with a bit of intensity, but got caught with a counter. They're back on the offensive now.
5'
It's impossible to overstate the significance of that goal. But there's plenty of time for Ghana to get it back, and we now know that if they win, they'll be through.

GOAL! Ghana 0-1 Comoros (Ben El Fardou) HISTORY! COMOROS HAVE THEIR FIRST-EVER GOAL AT AFCON, AND IT'S A HUGE ONE! Michangama streaks away down the right, turning Amartey and making him look silly. He then feeds it inside and his skipper opens his body to intimate a curler into the bottom corner than drags Solskjaer finish the opposite way! Comoros are flying and Ghana are in all sorts!

Bakari clatters Issahuku, and it'll be Issahuku sticking the resultant free-kick into the box. The delivery isn't bad either, but Comoros half-clear than Jordan Ayew, from now on Jordan, slices a shot that hits Sulemana.
