Loooovely from Niang, beating Okumo at inside-left, rolling studs and swaying hips, before rifling a shot against Matasi. He might've passed, but you can't chastise him for taking the opportunity he created - it all happened so fast.

Senegal are starting to impose themselves.

Ciss crosses from the left and Kouyate misses his header; so Okumo, who has his eyes closed, wears it on his arm. That's a penalty if ever I've seen one but the ref interprets to the contrary.

The pitch at the 30 June Stadium is not good - hard, crumbling and probably with very aggressive grass. That part of the world is great, but its football pitches are viscous.

Ciss burrows down the left and crosses for Mane, who hits the line and cuts back; the ball hits Odhiamo and falls for the arriving Saivet, but he bobbles his shot into the ground and against various bodies.

Tanzania-Algeria is still 0-0.

Otieno pumps into the box from the right, and Omolo leaps to chuck the head at it, but can't get a proper piece and Gomis collects easily.

Okumo is receiving treatment, after wearing a punch from Matasi, who was clearing the aforementioned corner.

Otieno wraps legs around Mane's on the slide, and rips him down. He's booked and will miss the last-16 tie if Kenya make it - silly behaviour. The free-kick comes to nowt.

Mohammed rattles Mane and escapes a card.

A long hump from Gomis is misjudged by Koulibaly, whose weak header goes to Ciss ... who responds with a weak header of his own, far too short for Gomis and Olunga is in! He lifts his shot over the keeper ... and wide, but the keeper takes him out in the follow-through! That should be a penalty, but the ref decides to the contrary.

Mane treads on the ball and falls over. It's fairly amusing.

First little sortie for Senegal, Sarr passing directly to Okumo.

Olunga is first to a ball over the top, arriving before Kouyate and turning to face goal, but Koulibaly is there to tidy up.

The ball bounces about in midfield so Odhiambo takes matters into his own hands, shanking a shin that's straight at Gomis.
