Sam Gilley defended his Commonwealth super-welterweight title with a fourth-round victory over late stand-in opponent Jack McGann at York Hall. Elsewhere on the card, Royston Barney-Smith showed his exciting potential with a second-round stoppage win. Earlier, veteran Nick Bell returned from three years on the sidelines to upset young Courtney Bennett to win the Southern Area title.

Sam Gilley shrugged off being handed a late change in opponent, defending his Commonwealth super-welterweight title with a fourth-round stoppage victory over Jack McGann.
Gilley was expected to fight Louis Greene, who pulled out with an illness earlier this week, and new promoter Frank Warren suggested that fight will be next after his charge's impressive win.
In front of celebrity friend Olly Murs, Gilley dominated from the off, knocking down his opponent with a straight right hand in the second.
To McGann's credit, he recovered to win the third, but as he went forward looking to capitalise on this in the following round, he was caught by a right hand from which he did not recover.
Staying on his feet did him no favours and, after a flurry of shots, the referee halted the action with McGann about to fall forward onto the canvas.
'Sugar Boy Roy' Royston Barney-Smith (now 12-0, 6 KOs) dominated Colombian opponent Carlos Rayo (13-2, 7 KOs) stopping him with a sickening body shot in the second round.

From the first bell, Barney-Smith landed a counter one-two which put his opponent on the back foot and he was never troubled from this point.
The pinpoint straight shots upstairs opened up the body as a target. A right hook put the South American on the floor and he showed little inclination to get up.

Earlier, Nick Webb, who last fought in defeat to Fabio Wardley three years ago, was not expected to pose unbeaten Courtney Bennett a problem, but as the fight went on landed increasingly big blows which saw the corner pull their fighter out of the contest in the eighth.
From the second round onwards, Webb, 37, was catching Bennett with shots whenever the younger fighter came into range, producing an upset to win the Southern Area heavyweight title.

The other surprise of the night came with cruiserweight Tommy Fletcher suffering his first loss at the hands of Latvian Milans Volkovs (11-3-2, 6 KOs).
Viewers on TNT Sports were treated to the debut of a future star as cruiserweight Elliott Elimasi stopped Jairo Nustes in style.
Elimasi, who bases his style on Tommy 'Hit Man' Hearns, ended the fight following up his powerful jab with a detonating right hand.
