STAGE 11: LOEB EXTENDS LEAD WITH STAGE WIN
Rally leader Sebastien Loeb got his final day off to the perfect start after setting the fastest time on the 26.5km Vignai test. Loeb was 3.5 seconds quicker than rival Markko Martin, extending his lead to 46.7 seconds, with young Belgian Francois Duval a brilliant third. Carlos Sainz, aiming to catch Gronholm, was fourth quickest but only a second quicker than the Finn. Richard Burns was eighth quickest and remains a minute adrift of a points scoring position.

STAGE 12: CRUSHING WIN FOR MARTIN
It has to be said the Estonian Markko Martin is certainly not one for giving up. The Ford ace destroyed his rivals on the 21.5km Colle d'Oggia run, setting a time of 13min 58.7secs to be over five seconds quicker than Peugeot's Marcus Gronholm. Citroen's Carlos Sainz looks set for fourth overall thanks to his third best time with rally leader Sebastien Loeb taking his foot off the throttle in fourth. Duval was fifth, Panizzi sixth, Bugalski seventh and Burns eighth.

STAGE 13: PANIZZI'S TYRE CHOICE PAYS DIVIDENDS
Peugeot's Gilles Panizzi, three-time winner of the San Remo Rally, picked up his first stage win of this year's event after selecting intermediate tyres for the damp 26.5km Vignai re-run. With the majority of the drivers selecting slick tyres Panizzi was over twenty seconds quicker than anybody else to rise from sixth to fourth overall. Sebastien Loeb has a 42-second lead going into the final stage.

STAGE 14: PANIZZI GOES 2ND - GRONHOLM OUT - LOEB WINS!!!
What a final stage. The drizzle on the previous stage turned into a hail and havey rain for the final 21.5km Colle d'Oggia re-run, allowing Gilles panizzi, the only driver on intermediate tyres, to dominate. The Frenchman was over a minute that second placed Richard Burns to overtake Markko Martin for second overall, whime Sebastien Loeb did just enough to hold on to the win. Marcus Gronholm's bad run continued when he went off the road early in the stage and retired.
