Both Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper have been handed first-round clashes against qualifiers for the 2025 US Open.
The draw was made on Thursday, August 21, with British men's No. 1 Draper potentially facing a lucky loser in his opening match.
The fifth seed reached the semi-finals in 2024 - his best run in a Grand Slam - losing to eventual champion Jannik Sinner, who will come up against world No. 87 Vit Kopriva.
But Draper and Sinner will not renew their final-four meeting from last year, with the pair set to meet in the quarter-finals, should they both reach that stage.
Raducanu, meanwhile, is returning to the site of the greatest triumph of her career, coming through the 2021 qualifiers to claim a sensational title as an 18-year-old.
Now ranked world No. 35, the Brit is on a collision course to take on top seed and defending champion Aryna Sabalenka - drawn against Switzerland's Rebeka Masarova first-up - in the last eight. The Belarusian holds a 3-0 record over the 22-year-old.
Elsewhere in the women's draw, wildcard Venus Williams makes her return to the Grand Slam she won twice, taking on 11th seed Karolina Muchova in her first test.
Not since the Australian Open in January has the Czech star made it past the first round of a Grand Slam.
Reigning Wimbledon champion Iga Swiatek will hope to reclaim her 2022 crown at Flushing Meadows, but she will have to get past Colombia's Emiliana Arango first.
There will be no repeat of last year's final with Jessica Pegula drawn in the same half as Sabalenka, and the American has an opening match-up against Mayar Sherif.
Rising star Victoria Mboko, now ranked No. 24 in the world having begun the season at No. 333, has a tough test up against two-time Grand Slam champion Barbora Krejcikova.
Britain's other hopefuls include Katie Boulter, who has been drawn against seeded Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk. Boulter finds herself in 2023 champion Coco Gauff's quarter.
In the men's draw, Carlos Alcaraz will begin his campaign to claim his second US Open title against home favourite Reilly Opelka.
Likewise, Novak Djokovic is set to take on an American in the shape of Learner Tien, with a third-round clash against Britain's Cam Norrie a possibility.
Third seed Alexander Zverev is due to meet Chilean Alejandro Tabilo in the first round, and could run into British men's No. 3 Jacob Fearnley in round two.
Elsewhere, 2021 champion Daniil Medvedev is due to come up against Alcaraz in the fourth round, but must beat France's Benjamin Bonzi first.
However, there will be no Nick Kyrgios at Flushing Meadows this year, with the Australian pulling out of the tournament before the draw was made on Thursday.
