Nick Kyrgios will not feature in the US Open men's singles event after the organisers announced his withdrawal. Whilst no official reason has yet been given for the Australian's removal from the draw, the 30-year-old has struggled with a slew of injury issues over the past three years. The US Open main draw begins on August 24, with the mixed doubles curtain-raiser having concluded on Wednesday.

Nick Kyrgios will miss the US Open for the third year running after the tournament announced his withdrawal.
A 'lucky loser' is set to replace the 30-year-old in the men's singles draw, which is due to take place on Thursday afternoon.
While no official reason has yet been given by organisers or Kyrgios himself, the Australian has been beset by injuries over the past three years, having had the best season of his career in 2022.
Kyrgios has suffered foot, knee and wrist issues in a trying period that has seen him attempt to make it back to the elite of the game.
He reached his singles zenith at Wimbledon in 2022, taking the first set off Novak Djokovic in the final before falling to a four-set defeat.
He also reached the quarter-finals of that year's US Open, before his extended time out of the game.
Kyrgios, who commentated on TNT Sports' Wimbledon Watchalong last month, has played only six singles matches on tour since October 2022, with just one victory, at the Miami Masters earlier this year.

Prior to that, he entered the 2025 Australian Open as he began his comeback, but lost in the first round to Britain's Jacob Fearnley.
He did appear on court at the DC Open in July alongside Gael Monfils in the men's doubles, but the pair lost their first match, with Kyrgios appearing to be managing some knee pain.
Speaking ahead of that event, Kyrgios had said: ''Life can just come at you quick with injuries.
"But yeah, I mean just to be back here, after my wrist injury and my knee injury, I never thought that I'd be back at a tournament like this playing ever again, to be honest.

"It's encouraging just the amount of work I've done the last couple of years to get back here and just to be part of it again on the actual playing side of things, not commentating, it's good to be back."
Kyrgios has now missed 11 of the past 12 majors, bar his aforementioned appearance in Melbourne.
The Australian reached a career-high ranking of No. 11 in November 2022, but as of June this year, he was ranked No. 1292.
