There is a visible limp as Berrettini labours to jab a tepid forehand into the net and he coughs up break point with another weak strike off that wing off a high-bouncing return from his opponent.
The 30-year-old shook his head following that miss and he puts his hands to his hips when another one slaps into the net to see him surrender serve meekly.
There's definitely an issue and if his movement doesn't improve in the next game or so, it may well be dream over...

Berrettini is a touch casual with a simple bounce smash and Arnaldi is close to clawing it back into play for a winner.
Its déjà vu moments later as the former world number six opens the door at 15-15 with a careless drop volley that dumps into the net.
The world number 105 returns to basics with the big serve but coughs up set point with a sloppy mid-court forehand into the net.
Berrettini’s scorching forehand drags him to deuce but Arnaldi keeps the pressure on and lures an error wide with a clever pass down the line.
This time there’s no escape as Berrettini lashes another crosscourt forehand wide to drop a one-hour and 17-minute set where he initially had a two-break advantage!

Berrettini retorts with an ace down the T and another hefty first serve before countering with a mesmerising arced lob to conclude a delightful rally.
The 30-year-old can’t wriggle free as he tamely jabs a probing forehand into the net but scorches one of his own deep down the line and another crosscourt to navigate to safety from deuce.

Arnaldi almost toys with his compatriot as he brings him forward with the dropper, lobs him off the re-drop and then pats away a deft volley with Berrettini stranded near his baseline.
The world number 104 contrasts the guile with brute power as he lands an ace and a smart, kicker second serve to ease back in front with a quick-fire hold to 15.

Arnaldi’s resistance at the baseline is improving game by game and he’s getting real joy when he is able to bring Berrettini into the forecourt.
Indeed, the former world number six looks uncomfortable as he booms a low forehand into the net and coughs up another break point.
Berrettini saves it with a clutch serve but a Hollywood howitzer from beyond the tramlines arrows down the line and just long to offer up a second chance.
Arnaldi shows tremendous wheels to track down a dropper but just fails to convert a delicate crosscourt re-drop.
It’s a topsy-turvy face-off from there as Berrettini fluffs a number of game points but also needs to swat away THREE more break points.  
The former Wimbledon runner-up’s serve keeps coming to the rescue and he eventually bellows with delight as he grits out a 15-minute hold!
