Felix Auger-Aliassime beats Alejandro Tabilo in straight sets at the 2026 French Open to reach a maiden Roland-Garros quarter-final.

The Canadian has now progressed to the last eight at all four Majors after cruising to victory over the Chilean world No. 36.

The fourth seed breaks for a third time in the third set with a return winner to claim the win in two hours and six minutes and will now meet Flavio Cobolli for a place in the semis.

Tabilo looks resigned to his fate here.

The South American offers nothing on the return and FAA backs up the double break to move within a game of victory.

Tabilo drills a tired and subdued-looking forehand into the net and the writing appears to be on the wall when he’s bamboozled by a sumptuous dropper from the fourth seed.

Felix has a flicker of a chance at 30-30, but bunts a tame backhand return long and then arrows an attempted pass down the line off that flank beyond the baseline.

Felix tries to up the ante on the return and works his way to deuce with leaping forehands to either flank.

It's rinse and repeat as he continues to find fabulous trajectory on his groundstrokes, putting Tabilo firmly on the back foot and the Chilean can only respond with a forced error into the net.

It feels like Tabilo has done a lot of the pressing in this second set – but there’s still no reward.

The Chilean has returned well with nice variety in terms of height and depth and it’s enticing FAA to over-press at times.

Indeed, a loose forehand coughs up a break point and the world number 36 is so close to taking it, but he drags into the net off a re-drop.

A magnificent overhead gets the fourth seed back in the box seat before a deep, probing crosscourt forehand breaches his opponent's defences and helps him wriggle off the hook.

Tabilo spews a brace of forehand errors from 15-0 but rectifies the situation with a composed plus-one forehand and a clutch wide serve.

The Chilean presses FAA into his backhand wing and then floats a sumptuous dropper over the net to push the board heading into the business end of the set.

Felix makes a mess of back-to-back points from 15-0 with a tame drive volley suggesting there could be something on the cards for his opponent.

The fourth seed reacts and reaches into the sky to power down an excellent smash before a one-two backhand punch earns him game point.

A double fault complicates matters and Alejandro keeps the heat on with a lovely dropper-volley combo.

‘Allez,’ is the shout from Alejandro as he lashes down his latest ace to conclude a convincing hold to 15.

Tabilo backs up a deep return down the line with an excellent, low slice to force the error.

The Chilean defends admirably beyond his baseline and gets a look-in at 15-30 when FAA overcooks an inside-out forehand.

The world number 36 is disappointed when he jabs a miscued backhand into the net off Felix’s shank and the Canadian turns the tables with a velvety dropper from deep.

Tabilo presses to deuce when he tracks another down to flip a crosscourt backhand beyond his opponent, but the fourth seed eventually ducks out of danger to snare a hard-fought hold.

Felix is frustrated as he gets into the rally on the first two points of the game but misfires off each flank.

Tabilo zaps down a hefty serve to pull clear and bags the love hold when FAA skews a backhand way off the island under pressure.
