"It never feels good when you're losing often," said the 35-year-old.
"To have a few good wins and have a good tournament would help me, remind me right now why I'm doing this.
"But as of right now, it's hard to feel that thrilled about it."
With just eight matches under his belt since the US Open final last September, Agassi confessed it is getting harder to keep up the high levels of play.
"It's been a long time since I've felt good on the court," he continued.
"It's just getting tiring, that's all. I've been through it before but each time it gets tougher. I mean, it's a delicate juggling act to try to balance everything in your life on and off the court, everything that goes into being your best at every stage."
