Belinda Bencic continued her dream Wimbledon run as she upset seventh seed Mirra Andreeva to reach the semi-finals.
Bencic, who returned to the tour earlier this year after giving birth, prevailed 7-6(3) 7-6(2) against 18-year-old Andreeva.
Bencic next faces eighth seed Iga Swiatek after she beat Liudmila Samsonova in straight sets.
"It’s crazy, it’s unbelievable, it’s a dream come true," said Bencic.
Bencic started the year ranked outside the top 400 after taking most of 2024 off after giving birth to daughter Bella.
She is now projected to return to the top 20 following Wimbledon, where she is looking to win her first Grand Slam title.
"I am very proud," she said.
"All my career I didn’t say it a lot to myself but after having Bella I say it every day. I wouldn’t be able to do it without my amazing family and amazing team, we worked so hard on the comeback and we are enjoying life on tour with Bella travelling.
"We are enjoying life on tour and to play great is a bonus. I'm generally just really happy to be able to play again, because my body allows it."
Bencic had admitted after reaching the quarter-finals that she was "surprised about how fast the results are coming" on her return.
She pushed Andreeva in a tight start that saw both players under pressure on serve.
But it wasn’t until the 11th game that either player had a break point.
Andreeva had two chances to break but couldn’t convert as Bencic saved to move 6-5 ahead.
The set went to a tie-break and it was Bencic who came out on top to take the set.
Bencic had an opportunity to further take control early in the second set but couldn’t convert two break points in a lengthy game.
The Swiss then double faulted to hand Andreeva a chance to break, but Bencic saved it with a backhand winner.
Bencic pushed Andreeva into the corners to hold and then broke to give herself a chance to serve out the match.
But Bencic couldn’t take the opportunity as Andreeva won a 22-shot rally and then powered a shot into the corner to break back.
The lengthy rallies continued as neither player budged before the tie-break.
It was Bencic who soared clear in the breaker and sealed victory with a smash.
