An unusual fate befell Judd Trump during his blockbuster clash with John Higgins at the Wuhan Open on Wednesday.
Trump, leading 3-1 following the mid-session interval, strode back out to the arena and was readying himself to break off, before uttering "this isn't my cue" towards the referee.
Higgins, in the other corner, shook his head in bemusement as he appeared to see the lighter side of the occurrence.
"Now what's happening here," said Eurosport commentator Phil Studd.
"I thought Judd Trump just said 'this isn't my cue'...well whose is it then?
"It's been a slightly strange session all round really, we've had banging and crashing galore in the arena, we've had scoreboards malfunctioning and disappearing."
And as Trump and Higgins came together for a chat in the middle, Studd added: "Not quite sure what's going on here."
The referee, once he was informed of what had happened, suggested to Trump that he break off and then request a timeout to chase down his own cue.

But Trump, having initially returned to his chair, then seemed to belatedly twig what had happened, walking over towards the score screen to be handed his proper cue.
Panic over, Trump proceeded to continue his good form in the encounter and move to a 5-2 victory over Higgins.
