The chance quickly ends but two shots later Gilbert misses a green himself. It is getting messy.
Gilbert 3-2 Zizins (52-1*)
Zizins left a red over the pocket but Gilbert needed to hit a red onto it - and failed to sink a ball. Zizins follows up with a pot to give himself a chance.

Zizins is first to get on the table again, with a fantastic long cut and then a tricky black and the tightest of cuts...but he then misses a long blue into the green pocket.
Gilbert 1-2 Zizins
It could so easily have been 3-0, but Gilbert remains well in the match.
Gilbert 0-2 Zizins (56-53)

Just the colours to go now and Zizins is in perfect position to clean up.

Gilbert 0-2 Zizins (56-0)
Have to be careful with those alerts. Gilbert misses a red into the left middle.
Gilbert 0-2 Zizins (56*-0)
It all looks so easy for Gilbert now as he passes the half-century mark - and at seven reds and seven blacks we're getting into 147 ALERT territory...
Gilbert 0-2 Zizins (24-0)
Gilbert is first on the table and looks to have a purpose to ensure his Latvian opponent doesn't go three ahead.
Gilbert 0-2 Zizins
A poor safety from Gilbert allows Zizins to pot the brown to take the frame.
Gilbert 0-1 Zizins (42-63)
Gilbert gets the snooker and now the frame is in the balance again.
Gilbert 0-1 Zizins (38-63)

"I was on nine and I thought (147 is on), the balls were nice and then you slowly get more tense.
"If I'd have got the red by the green away it would have been nice, but I'm not going to sulk too much."
