Thanks for joining us

What a night we have been treated to. Maybe the greatest evening of snooker at this level we've ever seen. Breaks of 147, 142, 70, 147, 67, 50 and 134 from O'Sullivan, who will face Neil Robertson for the £500,000 first prize on Saturday. Wakelin provided tough opposition and made 70 and 125 in defeat.
If O'Sullivan picks up the winner's cheque, he will leave Jeddah with over £650,000 from his week's work. Nice work if you can get it. We will be live with the first session of the best-of-19 frame final at 11am BST on Saturday morning.

Result: O'Sullivan 6-3 Wakelin

O'Sullivan 5-3 Wakelin (134-0)

And there we have it. 134 from Ronnie to finish. He is through to the final in some style. Remarkable. Really is. And a match with Neil Robertson in the final on Saturday.

O'Sullivan 5-3 Wakelin (80-0)

And Ronnie is heading for the final on the back of a century...

O'Sullivan 5-3 Wakelin (57-0)

Reaches 57, but not sure he is nicely on next red. Well, one went to left middle. Needs blue, red and a colour to finish it off.

O'Sullivan 5-3 Wakelin (35-0)

All about the split on reds...Ronnie spreading the word in Jeddah like some sort of potting pilgrim..

O'Sullivan 5-3 Wakelin (21-0)

Looks like the end is nigh for Wakers here..leaves a long red and Ronnie is building a lead as we speak. Looks like he is in Playstation mode now.

O'Sullivan 5-3 Wakelin (0-0)

Just about sums it up..

O'Sullivan 4-3 Wakelin (117-8)

Another little cameo knock of 50 from Ronnie. He is one frame away from the final.

O'Sullivan 4-3 Wakelin (80-8)

Just finalising the deal then in this frame. That cue from Sunny Akani is certainly working out well. Imagine he had this at the Crucible? Looks completely relaxed in Jeddah.

O'Sullivan 4-3 Wakelin (67-8)

O'Sullivan missing cut on a red, and almost goes in-off. Which would have been a disaster. Wakelin trying to launch the counter. Needs four reds and blacks for a re-spot. But he misses red with rest. That is disappointing. It will be a 5-3 lead for Rocket Ronnie.

O'Sullivan 4-3 Wakelin (67-0)

For once loses the white on 67. So frame not yet a done deal. Wakelin can still tie the frame with five reds and blacks. Ronnie has to be careful here. As nothing is safe. Time to push a few reds safe.

O'Sullivan 4-3 Wakelin (64-0)

What a supreme shot here from Ronnie to cart in green and back out for next red. Already looks like a century chance. Chris can only sit and admire this man.

O'Sullivan 4-3 Wakelin (45-0)

Split on reds not the greatest. So no maximum this time. But break continues. Blue is downed and this is a great chance to build a 5-3 lead.

O'Sullivan 4-3 Wakelin (16-0)

Off we go then for frame eight. Wakelin breaks us off. O'Sullivan heads for a loo break. No wonder. This match still in the balance. Someone shouts: "Go for the hat-trick.." he is off and running again here near the black spot. He couldn't, could he?

O'Sullivan 4-3 Wakelin (0-0)

O'Sullivan 3-3 Wakelin (147-0)

Two maximums in the same match for the snooker GOAT. Quite remarkable. The 17th 147 of his career. And even he can see the funny side of this...that is just remarkable.

O'Sullivan 3-3 Wakelin (147-0)

What can you say about this? O'Sullivan with a second 147 of the night. And that will earn him £147,000..WHAT A STORY TONIGHT...

O'Sullivan 3-3 Wakelin (125-0)

Century from Ronnie. Down to the final red. What happens here? In behind the final red. Will have to use the rest. And in goes the red down a side rail. On a high black...just colours now..

O'Sullivan 3-3 Wakelin (81-0)

Nothing easy now though. Ronnie cans red to right middle. 147 still on here. Frame is a done deal.

O'Sullivan 3-3 Wakelin (65-0)

Still on for a second maximum here in this match..

O'Sullivan 3-3 Wakelin (56-0)

Very fluent stuff from Ronnie in constructing a lead after that excellent safety shot forced the error from Wakelin.

O'Sullivan 3-3 Wakelin (25-0)

Will be looking to weigh in with a decent break at this visit. The mind firmly on the balls here, but all reds and blacks so far.

O'Sullivan 3-3 Wakelin (8-0)

Off goes Ronnie then with a fine mid-range red and round the angles for the black to follow.

O'Sullivan 3-3 Wakelin (0-0)

Best of five frames now for a final spot. O'Sullivan with a superb safety shot back to baulk. Wakelin's long potting has been very good this evening. What does he do here? Decent effort with the safety, but leaves Ronnie a chance seconds later with mishit escape.

O'Sullivan 3-3 Wakelin (5-0)

Excellent three-ball plant by Ronnie, but can't land on a red off the brown. Tied up behind the blue, and a re-rack is the verdict from both players.

O'Sullivan 3-3 Wakelin (0-0)

Off we go for the seventh frame then. Ronnie with a bit of a mistake in a double kiss on red. Chance for Wakelin, but red wriggles back out heading along top cushion.

O'Sullivan 3-2 Wakelin (26-84)

Proving to be a dogged opponent in this semi-final. Wide open. O'Sullivan not continuing the scoring rash after the first two frames, and Wakelin has battled his way back to parity.

O'Sullivan 3-2 Wakelin (26-66)

A lead of 30 points heading for the final red. Goes for a long pink, but nothing doing. Wakelin gets cover on red behind blue, and Ronnie misses the red with a swerve shot. On the brink of a needing a snooker here. O'Sullivan hits the red, but sticks it up. Going to be 3-3 then.

O'Sullivan 3-2 Wakelin (26-55)

Another fine red is dropped in from distance by Wakelin, who is on the cusp of 3-3 here with two reds left.

O'Sullivan 3-2 Wakelin (26-48)

O'Sullivan looking to launch the counter-attack here. Would be a big steal in context of match. But not sure he is on a red from holing blue. Just safety to follow. But great long red from Wakelin, who then rolls up behind brown. O'Sullivan hits red, but leaves chances here. Wakelin misses tricky red at pace.

O'Sullivan 3-2 Wakelin (1-47)

47 from Wakelin, but not sure he is on much here. Looking at a fine cut on a red to left centre. But off the potting angle. So break ends on 47. And Ronnie nudges in a red to left centre in response.

O'Sullivan 3-2 Wakelin (0-39)

Very clean stuff from Chris in making his way to 39 without any dramas. Aiming to draw level at 3-3.

O'Sullivan 3-2 Wakelin (0-16)

Thin safety by Ronnie gives Chris chance to score some more in this sixth frame. How big will that fluked red prove to be? You do wonder. Neither player afraid to get their scoring boots on.

O'Sullivan 3-2 Wakelin (0-0)

So plenty of life left in this semi-final in Jeddah. Where to next one wonders? Wakelin breaks off for the sixth frame of this match.

O'Sullivan 3-1 Wakelin (5-125)

A 125 clearance from Wakelin. Enjoyed a huge dose of good fortune with that fluked red, but will take them all day long. Match well in the balance.

O'Sullivan 3-1 Wakelin (5-84)

So the break continues after that massive fluke on red. Could be a century now for Chris.

O'Sullivan 3-1 Wakelin (5-71)

Very calm and measured approach to his break-building as he heads for the 50-mark. Misses a red by some distance, but enjoys a huge fluke to right centre on the same red. Remarkable. And break continues. Will be 3-2 now surely.

O'Sullivan 3-1 Wakelin (5-33)

Serious chance to win frame at this visit as he clips open the pack of reds off blue. Reds wide open all of a sudden.

O'Sullivan 3-1 Wakelin (5-21)

In goes black. Low on the next red. And opens up a few more reds off the red. Excellent shot, and a decent result too. Decent chance to build a lead here.

O'Sullivan 3-1 Wakelin (5-6)

Five from Ronnie before he misses a tricky red along the top cushion. Chance passes to his opponent. What is he going to make here?

O'Sullivan 3-1 Wakelin (0-0)

The players are back out for what could be another seven frames to settle this semi-final. O'Sullivan breaks off in the fifth frame of a possible 11.

O'Sullivan makes magical 147 in Saudi Arabia Masters

Ronnie O'Sullivan has fired in a maximum break at the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters. O'Sullivan made the 147 in the first frame of his semi-final against Chris Wakelin. He is the oldest player to ever make a maximum in a professional tournament. Earlier, Neil Robertson booked his place in Saturday's final with a 6-3 win over Elliot Slessor.

O'Sullivan 2-1 Wakelin (81-25)

Chris has had chances, but not taking them and this is what happens. 70 from O'Sullivan to go with the 147 and 142. He leads 3-1 in race to six.

O'Sullivan 2-1 Wakelin (54-25)

In goes the frame-winning pink, and that is going to be 3-1 to Ronnie.

O'Sullivan 2-1 Wakelin (40-25)

Needs two reds and blacks or pinks to regain the two-frame lead...

O'Sullivan 2-1 Wakelin (34-25)

Ronnie heads into lead by a point with four reds left on board. Golden chance to get frame won for a 3-1 lead.

O'Sullivan 2-1 Wakelin (20-25)

Huge fluke for Wakelin on a red to a top bag, and lands nicely on brown, but misses to left middle. Chance passes to O'Sullivan, but he then misses black off the spot. Chris can't punish though as red to same pocket as black eludes him, and the pack is now open too.

O'Sullivan 2-1 Wakelin (5-24)

Opens up a few reds off another red. Back for the blue too. This is very nice from Chris, who is well involved in this semi-final. But he jaws a mid-range red on the stretch. Ronnie cans a superb red to left middle, but can't get reds open off brown. Just safety to follow.

O'Sullivan 2-1 Wakelin (0-18)

Nice break-off shot by Chris, and he slides in an excellent fine cut on a red. In goes brown off spot too with white off side cushion. Followed by red across table. Superb potting by Wakelin, who is in stroke now.

O'Sullivan 2-1 Wakelin (0-0)

Chris gets the balls moving for frame three. He would dearly love to get out this mini session at 2-2 for a cup of tea.

O'Sullivan 2-0 Wakelin (25-70)

Wakelin leaves Ronnie in a fiendish snooker, and O'Sullivan has seen enough. Back to 2-1 then. One more frame before the mid-session interval.

O'Sullivan 2-0 Wakelin (25-70)

Chance here of a third century in three frames. But he misses red to right centre. A solid 70. Ronnie coming back to table, but a tall order with one red left on deck.

O'Sullivan 2-0 Wakelin (25-56)

This is an excellent response from Chris Wakelin. Could be back in the hunt at 2-1 behind. Hard work has been done in this break. Looks like Wakelin is going to register his first frame of the evening.

O'Sullivan 2-0 Wakelin (25-24)

What is he going to produce in response to this O'Sullivan scoring blitz? Looks to be in fine touch at close range.

O'Sullivan 2-0 Wakelin (25-16)

Excellent pot on a brown to left centre by Chris. That had to go, and down goes the object ball. Wakelin trying to make some progress of his own in this third frame.

O'Sullivan 2-0 Wakelin (25-1)

A brief pause in the potting show by O'Sullivan. Which will suit Chris, who must be a bit dazed by what's gone on so far. Ronnie lines up long red, but well off potting angle. Wakelin pots his first ball of the night by slipping in a cut on a red.

O'Sullivan 2-0 Wakelin (25-0)

For once, Ronnie breaks down on 25 after sticking to a red. So just the safety to follow. Has to take his medicine for now.

O'Sullivan 2-0 Wakelin (12-0)

Lovely red to right middle from Ronnie to extend his visit to the table. Looking at one with the table.

O'Sullivan 2-0 Wakelin (8-0)

Well, there we go. Wakelin tries to escape from a snooker, but ends up sticking up a red after coming off two cushions trying to nestle in the pack. Chance to get moving again here.

O'Sullivan 1-0 Wakelin (142-4)

There are levels in snooker. And then there is Ronnie O'Sullivan's level. Which is something else altogether in this mood. A 142 to go with the opening 147 from Ronnie. So, so good.

O'Sullivan 1-0 Wakelin (101-4)

Just a joy to watch in this mood. Making it look ridiculously easy.

O'Sullivan 1-0 Wakelin (77-4)

Chance of another century from the maximum man in the second frame. A 2-0 lead within 20 minutes. You don't get paid overtime out there, as Ronnie likes to point out. Its all kicking off in Jeddah. Mainly from the snooker GOAT.

O'Sullivan 1-0 Wakelin (54-4)

Looks like this could be 2-0 to Ronnie in no time at all. Putting on a cue ball clinic so far. Into the pack of reds with white off black, and those reds have opened up delightfully. Talk about hitting top gear. This has been like 0-100 in five seconds.

Watch: Rocket Ronnie thrills Saudi Arabia with 147 magic

O'Sullivan 1-0 Wakelin (23-4)

Ronnie looks to open up the reds right away after canning a black. Looks very composed, and is stroking the ball with real authority out there. Timing the white perfectly.

O'Sullivan 1-0 Wakelin (7-4)

O'Sullivan catches yellow with his shirt on next shot, but Chris can't cut home a mid-range red and Ronnie is back at the baize right away. Looks to be striking the ball perfectly out there.

O'Sullivan 0-0 Wakelin (147-0)

What a start to this match. They are loving it in Jeddah. His 16th maximum, and first for seven years in competition. Absolutely majestic. And a little bow to the crowd, who are going wild in Jeddah. Phew! What a start to this semi-final.

O'Sullivan 0-0 Wakelin (147-0)

In goes blue to right middle. Down goes the pink and in goes the black. THERE IS THE 147 FROM RONNIE..

O'Sullivan 0-0 Wakelin (125-0)

In goes black so onto the colours now. Majestic stuff here from Ronnie as yellow and green are downed.

O'Sullivan 0-0 Wakelin (112-0)

Superb shot by Ronnie in and out of baulk with third final red. Down to final red. Huge chance of maximum now.

O'Sullivan 0-0 Wakelin (73-0)

Chance of a maximum in this opening frame of the night. Frame is suddenly safe out of nowhere. Wakelin playing only one shot so far.

O'Sullivan 0-0 Wakelin (56-0)

This is superb from O'Sullivan in this break. White under complete lock-and-key out there. Could be an early one-visit kill in opening frame. Lovely shot off black, off two cushions and out for the next red.

O'Sullivan 0-0 Wakelin (40-0)

Doing his work with reds and blacks so far. Racing through these balls early on. Looks to be in excellent touch already this evening. Five reds, fives blacks for the Rocket.

O'Sullivan 0-0 Wakelin (8-0)

Ronnie O'Sullivan will get this match up and running. Not a bad break-off shot. Early chance of a long red for Ronnie. And he strokes it in. Lovely slot. And holds for black too. Looking for a 65th ranking event final appearance in his 95th ranking semi-final tonight.

Almost set to get boys on baize

O'Sullivan and Wakelin with one win each against the other man, with both players also enjoying one win each in the Championship League. So all very even. But this will be the first time they have met in a best-of-11 frame showdown.
"I said last year, he was playing some phenomenal snooker," said O'Sullivan. "He's a top-16 player now, and I'll be surprised if he doesn't win a big tournament."

O'Sullivan bids to hit 'the zone' in chase for final spot

Ronnie O'Sullivan staged his second rousing comeback of the week to edge out world No. 2 Kyren Wilson in an epic quarter-final joust at the Saudi Arabia Masters in Jeddah. In the match of the tournament so far, O'Sullivan discovered some vintage form to complete a frantic victory over Wilson, who had enjoyed a 6-3 win over the snooker GOAT on his way to lifting the Shanghai Masters last month.

Robertson: Final will be different

"I think the final will be a bit different as there are two players who are used to being there...playing over multiple sessions," Neil Robertson said on TNT Sports after clinching victory over Elliot Slessor.
"Chris is playing very well and Ronnie is Ronnie. He's playing aggressively and giving his opponent chances, but if they don't take them he's beating them.
"And Chris he's got great self belief.
"I knew how massive the match for Elliot. Knowing him so well, if I was watching I would have wanted him to win."
Robertson will certainly need to raise his game in the final. In a match of surprisingly low quality, there were only three frames won in one visit, with each of these seeing the break builder stuck in the 90s - Robertson twice, including the final frame.
Robertson battled to win the long opening frame then the close second which could have gone either way and, after both hit 90s in the next two, crucially the Aussie extended his lead with the first after the interval.
Slessor was not in good enough form to overcome this three-frame disparity and though he won two of the next three, it always seemed that Robertson would take the chance to win the match without things getting too close.
And in the final frame he did just that, racking up a 93-break after a terrible shot from Slessor falling short of rolling the cue ball into the pack.

Robertson beats Slessor 6-3

Once more he falls short of his 992nd century as a red just stayed out of the yellow pocket. But he has clinched a place to play Ronnie O'Sullivan or Chris Wakelin in the final.

Robertson 5-3 Slessor (77*-0)

Robertson over the line now. He guarantees himself at least £200,000 by reaching the final.

Robertson 5-3 Slessor (43*-0)

He goes into the reds softly expecting a red to be available and it just about was. He should be able to negotiate enough to get over the line from him.

Robertson 5-3 Slessor (27*-0)

Robertson has one more free red before he'll have to split the pack. How this works out could decide whether he can win the frame at this visit.

Robertson 5-3 Slessor (5*-0)

Horrendous error from Slessor. He looked to roll into the right hand side of the pack to avoid leaving the red to the left middle but ended up being a long way short - and leaving the red on.

Robertson 5-3 Slessor

A break of 64 sees Slessor close the gap and Robertson's average play must give him some hope.

Robertson 5-2 Slessor (26-27*)

After wondering whether he had touched the white or not (the referee could not tell, but replays suggested he did, Robertson had a hit and hope and now Slessor has a great chance to take the frame.

Robertson 5-2 Slessor (26-26)

Slessor with an incredible pot and the 'nothing' part of the effort was similarly good, putting the cue ball on the baulk cushion - and he then rolls behind the yellow.
picture

'Best pot of the afternoon' - Slessor hits superb long shot

Video credit: TNT Sports

Robertson 5-2 Slessor (26-25)

"That is a shocker!" Ken Doherty on the money as Slessor plays far too short on the colour and he's lucky his cue ball, from his rushed follow-up, lodged just behind the brown to leave the table safe.

Robertson 5-2 Slessor (26-1*)

No luck for Robertson opening the reds and he goes for a tricky pot which he misses and leaves an easy shot for Slessor.

Robertson 5-2 Slessor (5-0)

The one part of his game that has been pretty much on point is Robertson's long potting - and he notches another to set himself up with a first chance in the frame.

Robertson 5-2 Slessor

Robertson cleans up to the pink and he now needs just one frame to reach the final.

Robertson 4-2 Slessor (42*-52)

After another snooker, Robertson is given a chance at an opening and makes no mistake. After potting the last two reds, the frame should be his now.

Robertson 4-2 Slessor (30-52)

Slessor twice fouls before getting out of the snooker and, most importantly, not leaving a red on.

Robertson 4-2 Slessor (22-52)

Slessor misses a red after getting past the 50-mark and ruefully smiles to himself as he sits down. But Robertson fails to get position on the ensuing red and leaves a snooker on both remaining reds.

Robertson 4-2 Slessor (21-23*)

Fine long red from Slessor and he gets the black back on its spot too. A real chance now.

Robertson 4-2 Slessor (21-14)

Robertson comes off three cushions after potting the blue but fails to get on a red and has to play safe.

Robertson 4-2 Slessor (9*-14)

Slessor puts everything into a black to open the pack but he isn't close to potting the ball and Robertson has a number of open reds, albeit the black is near the green pocket.

Robertson 4-2 Slessor (3-1*)

A reprieve for Slessor as Robertson loses his position and now the underdog is back at the table.

Robertson 4-2 Slessor (1*-0)

Slessor goes for a long red and leaves Robertson an easy opener into the right middle.

Robertson 4-2 Slessor

His elbow would have been wobbling a little as he used the rest for the last pink, but Slessor potted it and has now reduced the deficit to two.

Robertson 4-1 Slessor (51-37)

Slessor got the better of a safety battle, forcing an error from Robertson, and, after a fairly tricky black, should win the frame now.

Robertson 4-1 Slessor (51-28)

Wonderful shot off the brown coming off three cushions to keep the break going...but then he misses the next red. So the break ends at 50.

Robertson 4-1 Slessor (16-28)

It looked like Slessor had left the table safe, but Robertson hit a fine red into the right middle and now with, the reds spread nicely, he looks like taking the frame.

Robertson 4-1 Slessor (1-28)

Slessor unlucky as colliding into the reds the cue ball does not ricochet away enough to allow him to put one. So it's break over.

Robertson 4-1 Slessor (1-0)

Good long pot from Robertson but he leaves the first black in the left-bottom jaws.

Robertson 4-1 Slessor

You feel that's a big frame for Slessor to lose.

Robertson 3-1 Slessor (64*-30)

Robertson has now sealed the frame and this will be one that stings Slessor.

Robertson 3-1 Slessor (40*-30)

A chance from Robertson goes abegging too. But Slessore hands him another straight away.

Robertson 3-1 Slessor (1*-30)

He was going so well but was a little short going from the yellow to the red, but still shouldn't have missed the next red which now hands the momentum to the favourite.

Robertson 3-1 Slessor (0-4*)

Fine opening pot from Slessor to give him first look at the fifth frame.

Ronnie tips Wakelin for big tournament win

Ronnie O'Sullivan has tipped his semi-final opponent Chris Wakelin to win a big tournament this season.
"He's a top 16 player now, I'll be surprised if he doesn't win a big tour event," O'Sullivan said on TNT Sports.
"I'm well past the stage of being intimidated by Ronnie," Wakelin said.
"It's a big occasion for both of us,
"I spent ten years of my career worried about what other people thought about my game.
"I dont care now. I believe in myself."

Robertson 3-1 Slessor

No century for Robertson! He nudged the blue with his body as he stretched for the blue, meaning the break ends at 93 - but that gives him a comfortable lead at the interval.

Robertson 2-1 Slessor (55*-0)

The half-century is up and the Aussie will be expecting to notch his 992nd ton.

Robertson 2-1 Slessor (3*-0)

Robertson opens up with a fine long red and yellow and now he is a break up of the pack away from posting a big score.

Robertson 2-1 Slessor

Looking to get on the red by the left cushion he failed to pot the black, leaving himself with a break of 91 - but, crucially, he has halved the deficit.

Robertson 2-0 Slessor (0-70*)

Slessor has the frame and now has a century in his sites. No reason why he shouldn't get a total clearance looking at the table.

Robertson 2-0 Slessor (0-55*)

The first half-century of the match so far. Slessor now needs to win the frame in this visit.

Robertson 2-0 Slessor (0-8*)

Slessor with a fantastic red into the middle pocket and, after aggressively breaking up the pack, he has a good chance to build a big score.

Robertson 2-0 Slessor

Looking to lay another snooker, Slessor left the last red on easily into the yellow pocket and concedes.

Robertson 1-0 Slessor (69-25)

Slessor leaves a devilish snooker for Robertson with the cue ball touching the blue but the Aussie just gets out of it.

Robertson 1-0 Slessor (69-25)

Slessor pots one red with the black. He needs another, along with the three snookers.

Robertson 1-0 Slessor (69-17)

Slessor needs three snookers but he is playing on.

Robertson 1-0 Slessor (54*-17)

Three tricky reds left, Robertson needs one of them to take the frame.

Robertson 1-0 Slessor (37*-17)

Neither neartheir best, Slessor misses cutting a red in, he shouldn't have missed and then Robertson was fortunate that after a blue just dropped, a potential in-off red did not.

Robertson 1-0 Slessor (23-1*)

Robertson got up and down a few times looking at a black just obscured by a red, decided against it, and then missed the pink into the middle. Now a chance for Slessor.

Robertson 1-0 Slessor (8*-0)

Slessor certainly not giving Robertson the free-flowing match he would like, but a good trademark arrow-straight long pot gets the Aussie on the board - and he is on the black.

Robertson 1-0 Slessor

Incredible miss from Slessor, inexplicably hitting the pink ball rather than red. Though Robertson then goes in-off, it took another eight points off the table and led to the frame finally coming to an end.

Robertson 0-0 Slessor (71-20)

After falining to get out of a snooker, Slessor can only level if he pots all the balls remaining, unlikely with a tough black, but Robertson fails to pot a red to seal it.

Robertson 0-0 Slessor (67*-20)

Robertson pots a red and narroely avoids an in-off into the green pocket, then settling for a devilish snooker behind the green. He is inching towards the finishing line.

Robertson 0-0 Slessor (66-20)

Robertson opted to move the three stuck reds and did not get position meaning this long frame will keep going.

Robertson 0-0 Slessor (40*-20)

Robertson did well opening up half the reds on the bottom cushion but missed the next pot. Then so did Slessor, leaving a red over the bottom left pocket. Robertson could get far enough ahead without the three reds glued to the bottom cushion.

Robertson 0-0 Slessor (32*-20)

Slessor potted the pink and left Robertson with a red, giving him the chance to build a lead, but the glut of reds on the bottom cushion mean it is not a frame winning chance yet.

Robertson 0-0 Slessor (20-20)

Slessor missed four times attempting to get out of a snooker but fourth time round he connects off two cushions and narrowly avoids leaving a red on.

Robertson 0-0 Slessor (4-20)

It is a very messy table. Four reds on the left cushion and six near the bottom cushion.

Robertson 0-0 Slessor (4-12)

On cue, Slessor misses a mid-range red and Robertson had a chance but missed the green - and was fortunate to leave nothing on.

Robertson 0-0 Slessor (4-7*)

A good red and brown have given Slessor a chane to put the first dent in the frame. The black is out of commission but there are a few open reds.

Robertson 0-0 Slessor (3-1)

Robertson with a fantastic long red but he wasn't perfectly positioned for a baulk colour and the pott off the yellow left him on the right cushion - and from there he missed the red.

Robertson 0-0 Slessor (0-1)

Robertson a mile off with a long pot left Slessor the chance to put points on the board, but with the black ties up he spurned the offer. Robertson then left a red teetering on the brink of the bottom right pocket. Slessor potted it but, in a tricky position had to use the spider to play safe onto the bottom cushion.

'Life-changing' for Slessor and Wakelin

Ken Doherty sums up the importance of the day for the two underdogs in this semi-final.
"It's not a life-changing opportunity for Ronnie or Neil Robertson but it is for Elliot and Chris," Doherty said on TNT Sports.
