Oliver Lines fought off a Judd Trump comeback to secure his place in the last-16 of the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters with a stunning victory in Jeddah.
World No. 1 and defending champion Trump took the first frame, but Lines subsequently found his feet, making two centuries on the way to building a 4-1 lead.
While Trump capitalised on his opponent spurning chances to finish, which brought the score to 4-3, Lines rediscovered his composure in frame eight to claim the win with another accomplished ton.
"I started to get a little edgy at the end," Lines told TNT Sports. "You play the whole game, and then you get 4-1 up, and you start to search for the finish line rather than just relaxing.
"I felt like I was playing really well and felt really calm, and then I got 4-1 up, and I could barely feel my legs.
"I think me and Steven Hallworth spur each other on. We’ve been meeting up for breakfast each morning and just living the dream, being happy. It’s kind of rubbing off in both of our games."
Lines will take on Ali Carter or Gary Wilson in the last-16, and the 30-year-old said his victory over Trump will give him "self-belief" for the rest of the tournament.

He said: "I was saying to Steve earlier that if I can win this game then it would do a lot for my confidence and, well, I’m hoping to go all the way.
"If I keep playing like I did there and I keep taking my chances when I get them and maybe manage my nerves a little better there’s no reason why I can’t if I play like that.
"I’ve just beaten the world No.1 and I feel like I earned it. I don’t feel like he played that bad. I feel like I earned it so it does a lot for self belief and hopefully, I can carry on."

'He's been scrapping around all afternoon' - Trump hits first century break against Lines

Lines had to come through four matches in Jeddah before meeting Trump, while the world No. 1 fell at the first hurdle after the top-16 on the snooker tour entered the tournament on Tuesday.
The result means Trump will miss out on securing back-to-back titles, after winning the inaugural edition of the competition last year with victory over Mark Williams in the final.
