Kyren Wilson said he proved why he was world champion as he battled back against Shaun Murphy in the Masters final. Wilson fell 8-4 behind to Murphy, but won three successive frames before Murphy closed it out for a 10-7 victory. Wilson joked afterwards that Murphy's age meant he needs success more than him. It was a second Masters success for Murphy, a decade after his first.

Kyren Wilson joked that Shaun Murphy needs big snooker victories more than him now as he has "turned into an old man".
Murphy, 42, beat Wilson 10-7 in Sunday's Masters final, to win the famous tournament for a second time, a decade after his first success.
"No disrespect to Shaun but he's turned into an old man now, so he needs this more than me," Wilson said after the match.
"I'm 33 years old, coming into my prime. I'm having an amazing season.
"Runner-up is obviously not what I want to be, but listen we've got Berlin next week so I'll go and smash it in Germany."
Murphy was always in charge of the final, moving 6-2 ahead after the first session and then extending his advantage to 8-4 when play resumed in the evening.

But world champion Wilson showed great tenacity to close to 8-7 before Murphy, who finished with his fourth century of the match, sealed the deal.
"I just made it too easy for Shaun today, I threw him in the balls too many times. You can't do that with how well Shaun has been playing this week.
"I proved why I'm the world champion. I fought as hard as I could. From 8-4, a lot of people probably would have written me off.

"If the red goes in at 8-7 that could have been my clearance for 8-8 and you might have been looking at a different scoreline.
"Every credit to Shaun, making a century to finish for the fans. So well done to Shaun."

Wilson also said he was determined to enjoy himself at the post-tournament party despite his defeat.
"Listen, I've lost, I'm gutted, but I tell you what I'm going to consume so many Jagerbombs and I'm going to have the best night ever."
