World Championship 2025: Judd Trump scoops £100,000 World Snooker Tour bonus after making 100th century of season versus Shaun Murphy at The Crucible

There is a good chance Judd Trump's bank manager has as big a smile as the Bristolian, after the world No. 1 added £100,000 to his coffers after making his 100th century of the 2024/25 campaign to secure the World Snooker Tour bonus. Judd Trump swelled his bank balance to the tune of £100,000 after making a century in the 15th frame of his second-round match with Shaun Murphy at the World Championship to scoop the World Snooker Tour (WST) bonus for reaching 100 tons in a season.
At the start of the campaign, WST announced it was putting up a bonus fund of £100,000 for any players who reached the landmark.
It was not viewed as an insurmountable task as both Neil Robertson (103) and Trump (102) had achieved that feat in the 2013/14 and 2019/20 seasons respectively.
Trump made a rapid start to the season, and set the tone with five tons on his way to the title at the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters in September.
The world No. 1 continued his electric pace through the early months of the campaign, and it quickly became clear that only Trump was in the hunt for the bonus.
Trump added a fifth Triple Crown to his CV when lifting the UK Championship in York in November, and he did so on the back of 11 centuries.

The hunt for the bonus continued in the second half of the season, and he told TNT Sports that his eyes were on the prize heading into the closing stages of the campaign.
Seven century breaks in his run to the semi-finals of the World Grand Prix left him on 86 tons heading into the final three events.
Six tons in a run to the final of the Players Championship moved him within single figures of his target, but an early exit from the Tour Championship, and with only one century to his name, had him on the back foot.
But he fired back in style, with five centuries in his Crucible opener against Zhou Yuelong moving him to 98.
After his win over Zhou, Trump told TNT Sports that he wanted to clinch the target early to allow him to then focus on the task of winning the World Championship.
"I know that I am close," Trump said. "I would be lying if I said it was not on my mind.
"It would be nice to get it out of the way early. I don’t want to be losing and desperately trying to make centuries and everything is going wrong and everyone is laughing at me as I’m one short."
Century 99 came in the 14th frame of his clash with Murphy, and he secured the bonus one frame later in a dazzling burst of snooker.
