Marielle Thompson narrowed the gap in the overall World Cup standings with her second win of the Ski Cross season in Alleghe.
The Canadian held off the challenge of compatriot Brittany Phelan in Italy to claim victory while Hannah Schmidt missed the chance of a Canada clean sweep as she finished fourth behind Marielle Berger Sabbatel of France.
Schmidt's fourth place also meant that Thompson climbed to just three points behind her in the overall World Cup standings with Berger Sabbatel 22 points further back on 590.
Thompson and Phelan finished behind Berger Sabbatel and Schmidt respectively in their semi-finals but headed the pack in the final to seal a Canadian 1-2.
"It's a great day for Canada with both Reece and I on top of the podium, and to share it with Brit, my team-mate, is awesome," said Thompson.
"I knew in the final I had to ski fast and really execute the start section effectively because I knew two of my team-mates were right behind me and Marielle from France always has a lot of speed.
"So I'm really happy with how I skied and to leave here with a fifth and a first is awesome. I'm feeling good and ready for the rest of the season with lots of confidence."
In the men's race, there was more Canadian joy as Reece Howden delivered his second World Cup triumph of the year.
