England 92-3 Samoa result - England score 14 tries and their record World Cup total at Franklin's Gardens booking a quarter-final spot

England produced their record World Cup points total, running in 14 tries as they beat Samoa 92-3 at Franklin Gardens.

Jess Breach scored a hat-trick, Meg Jones scored two, while Sarah Bern, Megan Feaunati, Lark Atkin-Davies, Lucy Packer, Marlie Parker, Kelsey Clifford, Mackenzie Carson, Helena Rowland and Claudia Moloney-MacDonald also touched down.

Rowland was awarded player of the match after kicking 11 conversions to go with her try.

The most memorable moment came when Harmony Vatau kicked a penalty for Samoa - their first points of the tournament - after they were defeated 73-0 in their first match against Australia.

Though having already qualified for the last eight, the tournament favourites will face their toughest test when they face Australia in the final Pool A match next Saturday. 

In difficult conditions, England put in a fantastic performance to rack up their record World Cup score.

Another great kick from Rowland.

Big finish for England. Not the best pass from Harrison but she took the ball beneath her knees and touched the ball down just inside the corner.

Maybe time to give Rowland a breather or she might ruin her kicking stat numbers.

Sing with a quick pass to Breach and with ample room outside she ran outside the last defender and touched down for her hat-trick.

A fairly comfortable kick for Rowland but this time she hooks it wide of the far post.

England' scrum was spun and then the ball came out quickly and skipper for the day Marlie Parker easily scored.

A fantastic kick from the left touchline, converting her own try.

Sing was brought down a metre from the line and then Rowland dived over just inside the corner.

But her big toe glanced the touchline and the lineswoman was there to make the right call.

Another successful conversion.

The returning England star, minutes after coming on, dives over the line between the posts.

But the throw from the line out was not straight so possession of the ball turns over.

Good reward for their tenacious tackling which has not let off.

8 from 9 for Rowland now.

Fine handling from England with Rowland passing inside to Clifford and then she immediately passes outside to Breach who dives over the line.

Another easy kick for Rowland.

England burst towards the Samoan line and although they were initially repelled, Clifford dived over brushing the right post.

But they get pinged for holding the ball in the ruck after a good tackle from Marlie Packer.
