SCOTLAND STUNNED BY REMARKABLE ARGENTINA FIGHTBACK
Argentina produced their greatest ever comeback to stun Scotland 33-24 at Scottish Gas Murrayfield.
Los Pumas trailed 21-0 early in the second half in Edinburgh, where they had not tasted victory since 2009.
However, a quintet of tries completed a remarkable turnaround, as they made it back-to-back wins.
Scotland broke the deadlock in the 13th minute with Finn Russell's clever pass allowing Jack Dempsey to dart over the line.
Ewan Ashman powered his way through either side of half-time to put the hosts well in command at 21-0 to the good.
Argentina coach Felipe Contepomi responded by making a quintet of substitutions, and his tactics were quickly justified.
Julian Montoya and Rodrigo Isgro went over to narrow the deficit, though Russell restored Scotland's control from the tee at 24-12.
Nevertheless, Pedro Rubiolo reduced the arrears again, before Pablo Matera scrambled over and Santiago Carreras' conversion completed the turnaround.
There was still time for one final flourish from the visitors, who sealed a memorable victory with Justo Piccardo weaving to the line in the dying moments.

Scotland skipper Sione Tuipulotu has not pulled any punches in his assessment of the hosts' second-half collapse.

Los Pumas will have just been focused on keeping the scoreline respectable when they fell 21-0 behind early in the second half.
Scotland produced a stubborn fightback to level against New Zealand from 17-0 down last weekend, but had a taste of their own medicine and worse today.
