ENGLAND SHOW STRENGTH OF BENCH TO INCREASE WINNING RUN
England increased their winning run to nine games as they scored six tries to see off a stubborn Fiji side 38-18.
However, Steve Borthwick’s side were given a tough game in the first half as Luke Cowan-Dickie saw his early try cancelled out by Tevita Ikanivere.
Caleb Muntz then gave Fiji a shock lead, as the visitors started to believe they could repeat their win from two years ago.
Moments after being taken down heavily by a low challenge, Immanuel Feyi-Waboso collected Fin Smith’s dinked kick to give England a one-point lead heading into the break.
Ellis Genge scored England’s third try early in the second half, only for Fiji to reply again through a well-worked line-out routine scored by Ikanivere.
England proved their strength from the bench as Jamie George, Henry Arundell and Maro Itoje all scored tries in the last 21 minutes to make the win look convincing.
Borthwick’s side face another tough examination next weekend with the visit of New Zealand to the Allianz Stadium.

GENGE: ‘BENCH HAS BEEN HUGE FOR US’
England skipper Ellis Genge highlighted the importance of his side’s bench after they overcame Fiji.
He told TNT Sports: "If you look at that first half, it wasn't perfect.
"We went in that at half time. We weren't satisfied, we knew that we probably didn't pin them deep at times, and we probably got a bit sloppy.
"The way that we managed to turn it around in the second half, it showed a bit more about what we're about.
"I think it showed good signs and things that we can build on heading into next week (against New Zealand).
"I think it's huge for us (the bench), if you look at the calibre of players that came off the bench, experienced players, young players with bags of energy.
"It makes a massive difference to us when we get to that 60 minute mark, and then we need that little bit of life that's brought back into the team.
"That's when the game starts to be pulled apart. The bench has been huge for us."

EARL: ‘ONE OF HAREST GAMES OF RUGBY’
England open-side flanker Ben Earl said that his side were given a proper test by Fiji and needed to ‘find a way to win’.
He told TNT Sports: "It was probably one of the hardest games of rugby I’ve had to play in.
"They've got world class athletes all over the pitch, credit to them and credit to the boys for finding a way to win.
"We're trying to grow our game week on week. Each opposition has got a different challenge and I think you can see we're a team that's going to get better and better week and week.
"It’s called a Test Match for a reason. We have to give the respect to Fiji, they brought a plan that really troubled us for the first half.
"We just have to find a way to win, and I thought the bench were fantastic."

ENGLAND GIVEN PROPER TEST
TNT Sports’ Rob Hemingway at the Allianz Stadium said: "There were double figures of players on their haunches after the full-time whistle was blown - that was, so they say, a proper Test match.
"England experimented, and emerged victorious to make it a ninth win in a row. But after that mixed display, there is lots to chew over ahead of the All Blacks visiting town next week."

BOMB SQUAD DELIVER FOR ENGLAND
TNT Sports’ Rob Hemingway at the Allianz Stadium said: "England's Bomb Squad delivers once more, this time Henry Arundell is the man to bring the heat.
"Fans of the Gallagher PREM will not be at all surprised to see the Bath flyer torch the turf for that try, but it is still some sight to see him in full flight, and not only that, but pick the right line to outwit the retreating Fijians. Allianz Stadium erupts."
