SLADE SCORES TWICE AS EXETER CHIEFS DISMANTLE HARLEQUINS
Henry Slade scored twice in Exeter Chiefs’ 38-0 dismantling of Harlequins at Sandy Park in the fourth round of the Gallagher PREM.
Exeter came out flying, grabbing a trio of tries before the break. Immanuel Feyi-Waboso got the opener before Slade touched down shortly after and Harvey Skinner closed out the half with a last-gasp reach.
The hosts didn’t relent in the second half, with Greg Fisilau scoring and Slade getting his second, cementing the hosts' domination, which left Harlequins scrambling and unable to score a single point.
If Quins’ awful day at the office could be summarised in a single moment, Marcus Smith’s early slip while kicking for territory foreshadowed what was to come as the away side's kicking game fell short against the rampaging Chiefs.

Skinner scores 'brilliant' try as Exeter extend lead over Harlequins

Slade was indispensable throughout. He slotted an early penalty before turning provider for Feyi-Waboso with a pinpoint cross-field chip for the first try of the match.
Slade then scored a second try off the back of a fumbled gather from Tyrone Green. Skinner stole possession and handed it to debutante Len Ikitau before giving it to Slade to score the try solo.
It was just one of many times Exeter capitalised on Quins’ mistakes as Skinner secured their third try off the back of a failed gather from Rodrigo Isgro.
The break didn’t give Quins a fresh perspective either. Further mistakes and ill-discipline scattered throughout the second half led to two yellow cards within the space of 10 minutes, reducing the visitors to 13 men for a short spell.
With Quins outnumbered, Exeter capitalised, scoring another try only five minutes after the break from Fisilau, before Slade got his second of the match at the death, bringing his solo points haul to 23.

MASSIVE WEEKEND FOR MANY
Debuts, continued sensational performances and much more.
One of those sensational performances was youngster Noah Caluori.
The Saracens winger announced himself to the rugby world on Saturday evening, captivating the StoneX Stadium with an incredible five tries on his first Gallagher PREM start. Saracens demolished Sale Sharks 65-14, with the 19-year-old tormenting the Sale backline and soaring under the high ball. TNT Sports' Sam Warburton called for him to be involved in England's plans this autumn.

WHAT A DAY FOR SLADE:
Slade spoke to TNT after the match after bagging two tries and and leaving the clash with 23 points to his name alone.
He said: "It just felt really good today amongst the boys and amongst the crowd, the place was on fire."
"It was a great afternoon for the boys."

QUINS' KICK OFF
Quin's secret weapon last weekend was their kicking. With Smith back in the fold, they utilized his skill with the boot to get themselves through the defence of the Saracens.
But today, it didn't look like the Quins of last week. The kicking did not go their way this time, with Hodge on the receiving end of most of them when they did stay in touch.

A WORD FROM ROOTS: "RUB OF THE GREEN"
Player of the Match Ethan Roots spoke to TNT after the match: "Our initial goal this year was to make this place a fortress. It's not quite a finished product yet, but it's heading in the right direction.
He shared his views on how they played under the conditions, he said: "When the weather is this wet, you don't really want the ball.
"You're happy to defend and make some tackles and hope they slip up. But I think we got the rub of the green today, all just a bit of luck."
On their change in form from last year's dismal opening, Roots said: "It's early doors, but the thing is there has been an attitude shift on the things we will and won't allow to happen."

CHIEFS INTO THE TOP 5.
That bonus point victory for Chiefs puts them into the top five of the Gallagher PREM.
They are level on points with Bristol Bears, only separated by their tries, and sit three clear of Tigers.

"A SLAUGHTERING"! FULL-TIME EXETER 38 - 0 HARLEQUINS
That's it, Quins are denied a single point at Sandy Park.
What a performance from Exeter, in what is called a "slaughtering" by Craig Doyle on TNT.

ANOTHER FOR SLADE! NEAR FAULTLESS PERFORMANCE EXETER 38 - 0 HARLEQUINS
Despite missing an opportunity on the right, as Skinner is tackled, Chiefs maintain possession.
From the ruck just meters out from the try line, the ball is passed out to Slade as he salmon dives over the line, just managing to remain in control of the ball.
He slots the final conversion on the death, what a performance from Slade today!

EXETER OUTNUMBERING QUINS
Exeter could finish strong here as they immediately go on the attack and are deep into the opposition's danger zone.
They completely outnumber Quins but are unable to get over the line on their first try.

DOWN TO 13!
Evans is off for a HIA.
Quins given a scrum for an earlier incident. Making great use of it, to get Green even closer to the try-line.
But they are instantly pushed back and lose possession, as they regain it soon after. With the possession they have lost all their gained ground.
The effort comes to an end, as TMO chimes in as Browne is given a yellow card for a high tackle on Tchubadze.
That's just 13 for Quins now.

QUINS GO AGAIN
Quins are determined to not end this without a try.
An attack from Isgro is ended by the near impenetrable Exeter defence.
It keeps being worked out wide, but there's no gaps forming.
There's a break in play, as Evans gets the ball and goes low, but at the same time, Zambonin is heading low too in a bid to stop his advance. It's head-on-head.

"A PLAYER'S PLAYER"
Ethan Roots named Gallagher PREM Player of the Match.
Healey said on TNT: "He's just a player's player."
Roots has been impressive in today's victory, setting up his side for a number of their tries and was formidable in defence.

PENALTY ADVANTAGE TO QUINS
Hodge pelts a cross-field kick into the hands of Smith, who goes for a break. He is tackled, and Quins are given a penalty kick after the Chiefs' defender doesn't role over.
Smith kicks it deep into their opposition's half.
69'
LACKLUSTRE QUINS
Quins win from the scrum and send it hurtling cross-field toward the half way line, but fail to hold possession.
Healey said on TNT: "I can't remember a time I have seen a more lackluster Quins side."
But just as I type that, Caden Murley is given a yellow for intentional knock-on as Exeter get the turnover and work through the phases out to their left.
Skipperless and pointless and only 10 minutes to go.
67'
EXETER CONTINUE TO APPLY PRESSURE
From the line-out just outside the opposition's half, Chiefs win possession and begin to graft through the phases.
They drive their way into Quins 22.
Within mere meters of the line, they earn a penalty, which Fisilau takes quickly and launches himself at the line, but he knocks it on.
Quins get the scrum. Lucky escape...
