Alex Dombrandt was central to the win, winning a key penalty at the breakdown that allowed Jarrod Evans to extend Quins’ lead with a successful kick, while Bristol kept the score close thanks to strong efforts from Fitz Harding and Steven Luatua.
Despite some promising attacks and powerful running from players like Louis Rees‑Zammit, handling errors and missed chances proved costly for the Bears as the match wore on.
Harlequins’ ability to disrupt Bristol’s rhythm around the breakdown and lineouts proved decisive in a fiercely contested encounter.

The match was marked by end-to-end action with both sides showing bursts of attacking flair, but Quins’ discipline and composure in key moments ultimately made the difference.

HARLEQUINS HEAD COACH JASON GILMORE:
PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Harlequins captain Alex Dombrandt is the official player of the match. Talking to TNT Sports, Dombrandt said: "Proud is the overriding emotion. There'se been a lot of outside noise about us the last few weeks. Some of it we'll happily take on the chin, I think some of it has been a bit unfair, if I'm being honest.
"It's going to take a lot more than that to break this group. This group's tight, a lot of respect and we'll work hard for each other. To come here where no one gave us a chance, really proud of the group.
"That Six Nations period was one of the best. We used that period to really reset and take some steps forward.
"Some of the noise has annoyed us if we're being honest, and I don't think we had much to prove to ourselves. That'll keep some people quiet for a week or two."
