CLEAVES COMPLETES COMEBACK AS QUINS EDGE OUT SAINTS IN THRILLER
Cassius Cleaves' late try saw Harlequins snatch a dramatic 22-19 victory over Northampton Saints at The Stoop.
Quins trailed 14-5 and 19-10, but recovered to take maximum points and climb to fifth place in the Gallagher Premiership before the international break.
The Saints, seeking their first away league win of the season, struck first as Tom Pearson went over in the 11th minute.
Despite losing James Chisholm to injury, the hosts responded well and reduced the deficit to two points as a neat move from left to right culminated in Cleaves crossing.
Both sides added another try apiece before the break as Tom Lawday replied to Tarek Haffar's effort to close the gap to 14-10.
Although Tom Seabrook went over in the corner in the 48th minute, Quins quickly hit back with Will Joseph crossing following a series of neat layoffs to reduce the arrears to just two points at 19-17.
As fatigue set in with the clock ticking down, the hosts found a second wind when they needed it most, as a superb attack led to the unmarked Cleaves scoring what proved to be the match-winning try.

Both sides were eager to sign off for the international break with a victory, before the Six Nations takes center for the next few weeks.
For most of the contest, it looked like Northampton would finally register their first away league win of the season.
The Saints led 14-5 after half an hour, and 19-10 early in the second half, but could not convert that advantage.
Quins stuck in there and, as tiredness crept in, came good with a superb move too much for their opponents, as Joseph scored the decisive try.
That boosts the hosts' playoff hopes as they climb to fifth place, following a bonus-point victory after scoring four tries.
