Argentinian sevens star Rodrigo Isgro is joining Harlequins with immediate effect ahead of the upcoming Gallagher Premiership season, which begins later this month.
Head Coach Danny Wilson was keen to inject some extra pace into his team, and in signing Isgro he has certainly done just that.
The Argentinian has made his name on the sevens circuit, playing most recently in the Paris Olympics, having taken home a bronze medal from Tokyo back in 2021.
Isgro has also represented his country in the Rugby Championship and the World Cup, scoring a try at the latter in France in 2023 against Chile.
Isgro has played 152 matches for Argentina in sevens, scoring 355 points with 71 tries to his name. An electric player to watch, his footwork and raw pace mark him out as a danger with ball in hand - and the crowds will certainly flock to the Stoop to see what he can deliver for Quins.

“I’m very excited for this opportunity with Harlequins,” Isgro said, via the club’s official statement.
“It was always my dream to play for a club like Quins and I’m really looking forward to meeting my new teammates. I hope I can help the team to achieve our goals and I can’t wait to put on the Quins shirt and play in that stadium with so much history."
Isgro will be competing for a place in the starting line up against the likes of England’s Nick David and Cadan Murley, and Scotland’s Cameron Anderson.
Harlequins finished sixth in the premiership last season, with nine wins and nine losses to show for their campaign. The club has already signed Leigh Halfpenny and Wyn Jones for next season, as they seek international-level experience across all areas on the pitch.

“We’re delighted to secure the services of Rodrigo,” Wilson added.
“He’s a dynamic athlete, quick and skilful, who adds further international experience to our squad and provides great depth on the wing. He’s a mature player who we expect to hit the ground running and contribute to our objectives this season.”
