SMITH INSPIRES HARLEQUINS TO DERBY DELIGHT AGAINST SARACENS
Harlequins chalked up their first win of the PREM season with an impressive 33-15 victory over Saracens at The Stoop.
Quins claimed local bragging rights with Marcus Smith among the try scorers on his 200th appearance for the club.
Smith broke the deadlock inside the opening two minutes, while Seb Driscoll also crossed to put the hosts in command at 14-0 up.
Rotimi Segun replied for Sarries but a penalty try put Harlequins back in the ascendancy.
Smith made a wonderful last-ditch tackle to deny Max Malins a try before Cadan Murley secured the bonus point for Quins.
Theo Dan went over for the visitors before half-time but a superb individual try from Will Porter kept the hosts at a distance.
Saracens had the final word on the scoreboard through Nick Tompkins, but they missed the chance to go level on points with joint-leaders Gloucester and Leicester Tigers.
Harlequins remain at the foot of the table but now have five points under their belt.

LET'S GET SOME REACTION FROM MARCUS SMITH
"The crowd were unbelievable," he tells Sarra Elgan. "Our forwards really fronted out today and made a massive difference. Hopefully, that can kick-start our PREM season.
"We've been there in parts throughout the season. It's our cup final, this game, we always try and raise our level."

SARRIES SUFFER DERBY DAY DEFEAT
That's back-to-back defeats for Saracens, following last weekend's reverse against Connacht in the Champions Cup.
Brendan Venter made nine changes as he sought a response, but his players had no answer to Harlequins' strong start.
The visitors were playing catch-up from the start, and every time they looked like getting back within reach, the hosts pulled clear again.
More importantly, Sarries miss the chance to move level on points with Gloucester and Leicester at the top of the table.

SMITH STARS AS HARLEQUINS BREAK THEIR DUCK
Quins have finally kick-started their PREM Rugby campaign, which they began with three straight defeats.
Smith led the hosts out, as he became the second-youngest player in their history to make 200 appearances for the club.
The England fly-half was inspired and set the tone with the game's opening try.
He then demonstrated his defensive prowess at the other end, with a magnificent try-saving challenge to leave Max Malins red-faced.
Quins secured the bonus point before half-time, and protected their advantage in the second half to get that first win on the board.

VERY UNFORTUNATE FOR SARRIES
They're trying to build a bit of late momentum.
However, an untimely knock-on when retrieving from the ruck completely halts it.
Harlequins have the ball, and won't be rushing anything from here.

GRANDSTAND FINISH
Sarries are still quite a way behind, but they have momentum in the final 13 minutes here.
Can they launch a dramatic fightback, and potentially get something from this derby?

SARACENS INDISCIPLINE
It hasn't been the strongest today, mainly due to Harlequins' pressure.
The hosts' latest surge leads to them conceding their 13th penalty of the match, with Itoje penalised.
Can Quins go and grab another try from this?

Sarries have something to build on!
Despite their numerical disadvantage, they finish the half strongly, and get their reward.
