Henry Pollock ran in a second-half hat-trick as rampant England ended their five-match losing streak with a record 11-try 73-8 win over Fiji in their second Nations Championship match at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
A crowd of 53,000 in sun-drenched Liverpool watched Steve Borthwick's side bounce back in style from their 45-21 loss to world champions South Africa in Johannesburg.
Marcus Smith (5'), Jamie George (14'), Guy Pepper (27'), Benhard Janse van Rensburg (34'), Seb Atkinson (37'), Immanuel Feyi-Waboso (51'), Henry Slade (60') and Noah Caluori (65') grabbed England's other tries in a memorable outing.
Player of the match Fin Smith knocked over 18 points in conversions against a Fiji side who were badly hampered by a red card for Simione Kuruvoli seconds before the break for kicking out at the grounded Ellis Genge as England led 35-3 at the interval.
Tevita Ikanivere scored Fiji's only try early in the second half in a forgettable afternoon following their 39-24 defeat to Wales last week.
They visit Murrayfield to face Scotland next Saturday, while England head for Argentina aiming to build on this huge victory.

THE CROWD DUSTING DOWN SWING LOW, SWEET CHARIOT
Close your eyes, and it could almost be Twickenham in the July heat. Slade penalised for a knock-on to deprive England of an 11th score on this record-breaking afternoon in Liverpool.

WHAT DO YOU LEARN ON SUCH DAYS?
Well, they were put through a tough afternoon against the world champions last weekend, but this has been an ideal way to respond for England. The Fiji tank has been well and truly emptied.

TRY! FIJI 8-59 ENGLAND (CALUORI)
Noah Caluori accepts the pass from Slade to mark his debut with a sublime try. And this is now a record score for England against Fiji. Could tot up some more here with Fin Smith missing the extras to move beyond 60.

ONE INJURY CONCERN FOR ENGLAND TODAY
Alex Mitchell looking a bit glum on the bench with his leg a bit wrapped up. Could be a hamstring issue.

ANOTHER WATER BREAK IS THE ORDER OF THE DAY!
Could probably call this match off now from Fiji's perspective. Have been miles off it. But England will want to do a professional job against the 14 men.

TRY! FIJI 8-54 ENGLAND (SLADE)
George Kloska is on for his England debut as his side grab another try via Henry Slade. Debutant Caluori plays provider on that occasion. Fin Smith bags the conversion. One-way traffic in Liverpool.

ENGLAND LOSING THE BALL FORWARD!
Janse van Rensburg trying to gallop onto the pass from Feyi-Waboso, but just sees the ball slip out of his fingers. Seems to be incessant pressure from England as they come again.

GREAT TAKE OUT OF THE AIR BY MARCUS SMITH!
Superb handling skills, but his foot was just in touch as Fiji earn the line-out. Meanwhile, Henry Slade is back after his head injury assessment.
