FRANCE MAKE HISTORY IN BRISBANE TO GET FIRST WIN OF NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP
France produced a brilliant second half comeback to secure their first win of the Nations Championship and their biggest ever victory in Australia.
Les Bleus scored six tries as they ran riot in the second half at Suncorp Stadium to win 42-26, making it four straight wins over the Wallabies.
France took an early lead through the powerhouse Emmanuel Meafou, who dived over the line after just three minutes.
The TMO had awarded France a penalty for a high tackle and after kicking to the corner, the ball was worked to Meafou, who could not be stopped from close distance.
Despite the visitors' early dominance, the Wallabies fought back almost straight away, levelling the scores after 10 minutes when they produced an innovative short line-out inside France's 22’ before Brandon Paenga-Amosa dived over round the side of a ruck.
France continued to dominate the half and re-took the lead after 19 minutes thanks to a piece of brilliance from debutant Aaron Grandidier-Nkanang.
Matthieu Jalibert kicked the ball down the left-hand side, before Grandidier-Nkanang collected the kick and leapt over the line, right in the corner.
The momentum of the game changed when Meafou received a yellow card for a dangerous tackle, with Australia going back in front just minutes later as McReight bundled over following a quick free-kick for his first of the match, before he added a second just seven minutes later.
Australia kicked a penalty to the corner and McReight dived over at the back of the resulting maul.
France came out a different side in the second half and blew Australia away, scoring four tries as they dismantled the Wallabies.
Yoram Moefana produced a brilliant break, before Jalibert chipped into the hands of Grandidier-Nkanang, who walked over for his second of the match and the first of the second half.
Australia were awarded a yellow card for an infringement in the build up to the try and France wasted no time making the most of the extra player, with the returning Romain Ntamack dancing round two defenders to score.
Les Bleus continued their assault on the Wallabies through Florian Verhaeghe, who dived between the posts to score after yet another thrilling move.
Theo Attissogbe got in on the fun with just under 10 minutes to play, adding France's sixth after some brilliant work by Kalvin Gourgues, who beat his defender and played it to Attisogbe, who walked the ball over the line.
The Wallabies kept battling and Jeremy Williams bundled over right at the end of the match to secure a bonus-point for the hosts.
France face Japan next, hoping to make it two wins from two, while Australia host Italy, desperate to get their first win of the campaign against a side they have struggled against as of late.

FRANCE MAKE HISTORY TO GET CAMPAIGN UNDERWAY
France came from behind to secure their biggest ever victory in Australia, bouncing back from defeat to New Zealand last week to get their Nations Championship campaign underway.
Les Bleus scored four second half tries as they ran rings around Australia, who led going into the break.
France have now won four consecutive matches against the Wallabies and after a tricky first half, they showed why they are one of the best sides in the world.
Ntamack and Jalibert struggled to get into the game in the first 40 minutes, but they erupted during the second half, injecting pace and magic into the backline.
Les Bleus have now put pressure on Ireland at the top of the Southern Hemisphere table ahead of their clash with Japan next week.
